I'm having trouble with a brand new Blackberry Curve & Outlook 2007 in that no all of the calendar items in Outlook are syncronising with the Blackberry. No problem with contacts, tasks or memos. I've tried 4.3 & 4.2 SP2 of the Blackberry Desktop Manager. I have also tried to export to .csv then import to the handheld - no go.
I have a blackberry 8310 and outlook 2007. I was finally able to sync for the first after a week of frustration. Now when I go back to update, itwill not sync and gives me an "unknown error" message.
I have the same problem blackberry Curve and Outlook 2007, everything syc's but the calender. I have tried reinstalling the Desktop Manager, I have reinstalled the operating system, I have deleted the calender and restarted it I have pretty much syced in every method, read most posts, tried to download the calander patch which is not available. sooooooo any thoughts

Re: Blackberry Curve & Outlook 2007
I've had a few clients with this issue. I have used these steps from RIM. Try it and see if it helps.
Here’s what you need to do: 1. Uninstall Desktop Manager 2. Remove any references on your registry and on your C drive program files and users to: a. Blackberry b. Pumatech c. Research in Motion d. RIM e. Desktop Manager 3. Disable the UAC (User Accounts) on Control Panel-Users 4. Get a command prompt and type regsvr32 atl.dll (enter) 5. Reboot 6. Make sure that when you re-install you have absolutely no SpyBot, Virus, Spam guard or the like running. 7. Reinstall Desktop Manager (version 4.2 SP2) 8. If you get an “Error 1904….Lotus Notes…” Ignore it 9. After you do all this, it should work

First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software (5.0.1) from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5 Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device. Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.
you have to open your blackberry desktop manager software. goto synchronize, and then configure synchronize and then tell the desktop manager to sync with outlook for you contacts calendar and so forth. so from then on when you plug your bb into your pc and strat up desktop manager, when you choose to sync it will sync your bb with outlook.
the blackberry will be using the Outlook calendar to update its information. its quite easy to use. What's happening is that the items calendared on the BB are syncing
with the "private" calendar under the username (Outlook Today -
Username - Calendar), and not the "public" calendar (All Public Folders
- John Doe). No items are marked as "private" on the BB.
Install the Blackberry Desktop manager software and after its done go to the Syncronize Button. Once inside look to the left for configuration synchronization click this button it need you to be online to do this as well. inside it will list the many programs that can be used to sync your blackberry make sure you have already setup your outlook so that it can pick up the new settings your creating. once your all done look for the top upermost button on left of BDM ( blackberry desktop manager) and click syncronize to sync your blackberry. now once it is done your BB only needs to be plugged in and it will autosync itself. look in your outlook for new entrys and popup
To get rid of the unknown error, you will need to uninstall the Blackberry Desktop software. When you do this, make sure that you have the uninstaller delete the user settings, too. Then reinstall Desktop Manager 4.3. See if that helps with the syncing, too. This solution solved the error problem for me, so I hope it will work for you.
If this does not solve the syncing problem, then post back here again and we'll look for another solution. Sometimes a .pst file repair will help.
