Photos are coming out blurry

There could be several reasons for this - pick the most likely !
If the entire image is blurry, with no sharp detail, it could be camera shake, or subject movement, especially at longer focal lengths (i.e. at the telephoto end of the zoom range). Try using a tripod or other firm support and see if that improves things.
If only parts of the image are blurry (i. e. the background is sharp but closer objects are not) then the autofocus system could be selecting the wrong area upon which to focus - try using lock focus on the subject, then re-compose.
The front element of protective filter could need cleaning - carefully!
The camera could have suffered a knock which has dislodged one or more of the internal lens elements - in which case, a visit to the repair centre is called for.

JZ300 Autofocus not working

Beyond sand getting in, the lens may have been damaged from the impact if it fell on the lens while extended. It may need to be serviced by a technician.

I like to get up close pics of objects especially plants and scenery. The problem is when I zoom in the picture is always blurry and cannot focus on objects that are not far away. Is there anyway setting...

most cameras come with an option called macro, this setting is for close up shots.on your camera it needs to set at wide angle.when choosing the shooting mode move left or right and choose the icon of a flower.if you adjust the zoom, a zoom bar will appear at the top of the lcd.if you try to use a zoom not intended for macro shots the flower icon will gray out and the bar will appear yellow,if you take a picture with the yellow bar it will be blurry.if you zoom out a little until it stops you should be ok. if you use a flash in macro mode the images edges usually will darken.hope this helps.

Pictures are coming out blurry

On digital cameras it is always best to press the button half way down before taking the picture. This helps the camera focus, thus preventing blurry images. Always, always press the button half way down. Secondly, if you are still getting blurry pictures, there is a possiblity that the sensor in your camera is bad. I don't know how old your camera is or how long you've had it, but you would need to send it for repair, exchange it, or if it's under warranty maybe they'll send you a new one.

This sounds like a budding CCD problem that Canon is aware of. Canon is replacing the defective CCD at no charge.
