I can't help. But I would recommend calling your local Juki Dealer for the name of a good repairman. Juki's are expensive you don't want to be futzing about if you aren't an expert.

Use a thicker needle.
Release the looper screw and move it back and close to the needle, but without touching.
Tight the looper screw.
Adjust the needle through (left and right) wider.

SOURCE: Bobbin Thread cutter no longer works

I have a designer SE, I ran across this site and found it very helpful. This person is a retired machine repair person and has a wealth of knowlege. <> from what I understand the blade needs to be cleaned as part of the Maintenance, it also can be replaced.

Take a look at this site, perhaps it will help

SOURCE: I have a designer 1 sewing machine and the cutter won't go in

if you are referring to the arm on the left side of the bobbin, just push it back in. You may need to use the end of the small screwdriver.

I have a Juki TL-98Q The thread cutter and the needle up down button don't work. How can I fix them?

Has a piece of broken needle or chunk of thread jammed into the blades and are not letting them move? If there was a big time thread jam it can actually break one of your blades and you will have to go to a repair man and have the blade replaced.

Manual backtack lever works but electronic servo backtack only engages when machine is at rest with needle in up position.

hello there
at normal case needle bar must be in upper position because DDL-8700/7 does not equipped with needle feed. for your problem please check back tack solenoid open and close when you make back tack ( sometimes it was jammed and need to move by hand ).

Juki straight stitch upper needle broken off and stuck.

You could try to pull it down with a magnet or see iff it will stick to some blu tack and pull it out with that.
