SOURCE: stripped bar stud

Many Sthil chainsaws have replaceable bar studs. The stud threads into the case. Go here: http://www.baileysonline.com/itemdetail.asp?item=QA+0000+953+6605&catID=407
look for part by model number, usually no more than a few dollars. Enjoy

SOURCE: how do i replace stud bolts that tighten the bar

if this is the plastic crankcase machine, the bar bolts are pressed into the case, start by removing the muffler, use a punch and drive the broken stud back through the case, it will have a square head on the rear, re fit the new stud, use a spscer and the bar nut to pull the new bolt fully back through.

How do i change the chain on my model 108526-01

The proper sequence to installing the chain should be to first ensure the brake is in the 'unlocked' position then loosen the chain adjustment screw, slip the chain over the back of the sprocket, align the chain with the bar, slip the bar onto the bar mounting studs ensuring the adjustment pin slips into the appropriate hole in the bar. Then slip the outer chain cover over the bar studs, elevate the front end of the bar and tighten the bar mounting nuts to 'snug'. Adjust the chain tension to the desired setting ensuring the front of the guide bar remains elevated, then tighten the nuts to secure the bar.

Remember to unlock the brake BEFORE removing the bar and chain because it is so much easier to unlock it mounted on the saw if yours is the design that comes off with the cover.

Keeping the front of the bar elevated during assembly and adjustment of the chain will keep the chain tension correct for a much longer period.

1995 old cutlass rocker arms wont tighten?

need to know what size motor you have but the 3.1, 3.4, and 3.8 liter motors are know for the rocker arm studs striping out inside of the head so while you think your tightening it your really only turning the nut and the stud. try putting a wrench(13mm) on it and turn to see if stud is turning. if so it will need to be drilled out and a helie coil put in it

Right hand handle bar has slight movement

Are the forks bent in any way? slight dents will cause bars to not tighten as will over tightening the allens on the bars. Remove the allen clamps that go around the fork and check for damage. If you need to remove be careful as to how you remove throddle cable and grip. Allens or screws and label. Then you can raise the bar over the end of fork. My bet would be a striped tread or dent and not the drop bar.

What tool would i need to remove cylinder head bolts on a 93 ford escort gt

Hi
A cylinder head removal tool is provided for removing the cylinder head from the engine block of an engine. The tool comprises an elongated bar made of tool steel with means for bolting the bar to the cylinder head and for mounting pusher bolts which can be tightened down onto exposed threaded ends of frozen studs holding the cylinder head. As the bolts are tightened down onto the studs the cylinder head is gradually lifted upward free from the studs.
