a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: seagate freeagent 500g usb 2.0 beeps sound

I was plugging mine into a USB hub and getting a repeated beeping noise and nothing else. I then plugged it directly into my laptap USB ports and it worked fine. Seems to be a power issue.

SOURCE: Seagate barracuda 1tb hard drive not detected by

To determine if the drive is at fault, try it in a different computer. If it doesn't work, its now a faulty drive I'm afraid.

While windows is booting first go to BIOS settings by pressing "Del" or "Esc" then change the boot priority that is save the first boot priority as cd-rom and second boot priority as hard drive... so that you can boot you system with bootable cd...
And then while formating the system just delete the partion that is only "c:/" and install the windows in to that and don't even do anything to your "d:/" drive then you can get all your data back... Abd the cd should be bootable format...

you can take backup of D drive om other computer .
Conect your harddrive to that other computers CPU but make sure that your hardddisk is slave which has issue you can set slave your hdd with jumper read on harddisk.
then connect it to cpu with SATA or IDE .
Then winxp find that all partition then take backup.

NTLDS missing when installing windows 7

Before tring to install Windows 7 I suggest you download (or your in law) from Microsoft a utility program that detects your hardware and tells you whether the system will support this RC version of Windows. Download "Windows6.0-KB947821-v4-x86 Update Readiness.msi" and run it on the system prior to installation. If your system is already damaged, install a base WinXP OS on it and try it. Good luck!

Boot won't read

Operating system not found. Check hard drive for loose connection power and interface. Reseat it to be sure (power cord disconnected and unit totally turn off before you reseat it).

Go to Bios setting check whether hard drive is been detected or re-detect it to refresh. If harddrive is not detected. Check again for loose wiring. If now detected, reboot it should until the end of operating system loading.

If it say again " requires sytem disk" ,corrupted OS --- repair or reinstall.
