How long do you charge it for

Until the green light o the charger comes on or the charge meter shows one amp or less. If the batteries were drawn down too far the 5 amp charger will NOT recover the batery. In that case seperate the batteries and charge each one with an automotive battery charger.

Power light is on the charger but no movement from the jazzy select chair

You have to disconnect the charger in order for the chair to move. It automatically removes power from the controller while the batteries charge.

After charging my wife's Jazzy Select 6, all lights come on after power up. However, when the scooter runs for just a few minutes, it drops to 4 lights on and then goes to 3 lights not too long a

hi, well that sounds like the batteries have called it a day,

If possible try another charger because sometimes the problem can be created by the charger not charging properly or the problem with the batteries being made worse by a dodgy charger.

Only the red light comes on jazzy select charger

Batteries must be stored on a full charge. For extended periods they should be disconnected. If your batteries are flat/dead the charger will not attempt to charge them. You should remove your batteries and check and try to charge them individually. Sometimes they will come alive, must of the time they won't. Charge them individually with a 12 volt 2 amp charger - no higher; or in series with a 24 volt 4 amp charger.

My Jazzy select six sometimes charges sometimes(most of the time) does not. The charger shows red and green when first on then in the morning both are green, but the joystick shows no charge. The...

After charging overnite get a digital voltmeter set it to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the 2 outter holes in the charger port located under the front of the joystick. If the charger works properly you should read 26-27 volts on the meter. If you are reading 24 volts or less then have the charger checked it should be putting out 27-30 volts or so. I would also have the tech check the batteries under load and check the wiring harness from the joystick to your controller. Hope this helps

When charging my jazzy, do I unplug any plugs that controls my jazzy, or leave all plugged in? the reaon ask, green light will not come on the charger, which is onboard charger, unless I unplug controller...

No JJR all the plugs need to remain plugged in. On the Pride chairs the light on the charger will only come on green when the batteries are fully charged. When you unplug the controller the charger thinks the batteries are fully charged and the light comes on. Now the problem is the batteries. If they are old or you have a bad battery then the charger never senses a full charge so no green light. Hope this helps

Pride Jazzy Select batteries not charging

If you use an automotive charger you have to charge each battery individually as they should be 12vdc hooked in series.

Clean contacts and assure yourself that each lead is charging properly. Jazzy has many different models so it impossible to know which you have. But there should be some info on the charger to tell you if your output is 24v or 2-12volt DC leads.

Jazzy has a web site and there is a member section where you can ask questions.
