Question about GE DVL223GB Gas Dryer
I HAVE A GE #DPSB613GDOWW GAS DRYER.
THE SQUEEKING IS REPETITIVE AS THE DRUM TURNS AND
THE SOUND COMES FROM WHERE IS EE THE FELT IS MOUNTED AND THE DRUM PASSES THROUGH THE FELT. I HAD THE TOP OPEN AND THE LEFT FELT IS INTACT. THE RIGHT LOOKS LIKE IT IS 80% GONE. AS WITH THE CARS I'VE OWNED, THE PROBLEM NEVER IS PRESENT AT THE RIGHT TIME.
THIS EXPERIENCE IS THE SAME ON DRYERS AS THE NOIZE WASN'T PRESENT WHEN I RAN THE MACHINE WITH THE LID OPENED UP. IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS EASY TO REPLACE BUT INSTRUCTIONS WOULD BE NICE AS I'VE NEER DONE THIS BEFORE. COULD THIS HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY SWITCHING TO HIGH HEAT? NEVER USED THAT SETTING UNTIL 2 WEEKS AGO AND THIS SOUND HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE. i HAVE CLICKED ON THE FREE NOTE. IS THERE A CHARGE FOR THIS ANSWER?THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. DEAN
I believe your problem is the rear drum pivot and bearing. On high heat you would hear i squeak per rpm
