    In response to your subsequent postings:

    • The files are compressed, to be more specific, zip. They have to be uncompressed using WinZip or a freeware EasyZip;

    • decompressed/unzip the downloaded files to a directory of your choice;

    • LAN/Network for Windows XP - do not have a setup.exe, rather, go to your Device Manager, right click on your Network Card with the yellow mark and click on "Install Drivers". If asked location of driver files, point to the directory/folder where the SiS Integrated Lan Drivers; was extracted/decompressed to. The installer would initially be looking for NETOEM.INF;

    • VGA/Graphics for Windows XP - the downloaded file SiS AGP WHQL Drivers when decompressed/unzipped would have the file SiSSetup.exe. Additionally, the file SiS650/651/740 Display Driverwould not have a setup.exe but rather, go to your Device Manager, right click on your Video Controller with the
      yellow mark and click on "Install Drivers". If asked location of driver
      files, point to the directory/folder where the SiS650/651/740 Display Driver was extracted/decompressed to. The installer would initially be looking for sisgr.inf;

    • Audio/Sound for Windows XP - do not have a setup.exe, rather an install.exe. Alternately go to your Device Manager, right click
      on your Multimedia/Sound with the yellow mark and click on "Install
      Drivers". If asked location of driver files, point to the
      directory/folder where the AD1980 SoundMAX Audio Driver V5.12.3533 WHQL; was extracted/decompressed to. The installer would initially be looking for smwdmCH2.inf and/or smwdmCH4.inf and/or smwdmSIS.inf. when decompressed/unzipped
    Or follow procedures as posted by Ekse.

    Cheers.

    Based on your post "all ready tried manually from those download with no success", it could be inferred that:

    • hardware issue;

    • download error;

    • decompression/unzipping error;

    • installation error;

    • OS is not XP.

I confirm that the soulution posted by Ekse and Benimur is the right one.

The drivers are:

All you need to do is extract the drivers, and take note of the folder where they are being uncompressed.

Then you open control panel>>System >>Hardware tab on top>>Device manager button.

There you chose "update drivers" and chose to install driver manually, and pickup the file from the folder where you extracted them.

See

  • Installing the Driver update

  • And follow isntructions.

    Some expert like Benimur already provided you the correct link for the software and since you already downloaded it and there's no exe file there to run the setup installation you need to manually load the driver for those devices on your computer by going to Device manager and right those devices that don't have driver and select reinstall or update driver and select the manual browsing of the driver for each device you need to do that one by one until you install all the drivers for those devices...

    You need to install manually your Ethernet driver and sound driver.
    and you can download Ethernet driver from following link:
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/REALTEK_10100M_Fast_Ethernet_Driver_for_Windows_d4957.html for XP OS
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/REALTEK_10100M_Fast_Ethernet_Driver_for_Vista_d5605.html for vista OS
    but you need to figure out that, what internet service you are using if you are using Broacom netXtrem Gigbytes then you can download from their website.

    and for sound driver:
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/Realtek_High_Definition_Audio_for_2KXP03_d4902.html
    for XP OS
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/Realtek_High_Definition_Audio_for_Vista_d5513.html for Vista.

    and please post back if you still experience problem.

    Thank you

      Hi again,

      the motherboard is not listed at asus, can you tell me the brand and model of the computer it is used in?

      also if you could open the case of the computer, look at the motherboard, between the PCI slots (white connectors) and around the cpu there you will find the make and model of the board.

      Ones I have these details I can find you the correct drivers for the motherboard.

    • Ekse Jan 12, 2009

      Hi,

      Benimur has provided you the drivers and I hope you have already downloaded them.

      I see the drivers don't have a setup program, to install such a driver, you first need to extract it from the zip file, right click and select extract all.

      Open up device manager, by right clicking on my computer, then select manage, on the manage window on the left side select device manager, find your device that lacks a driver with either a yellow ! or ? mark.

      You will need to install the driver by hand, select the problem device, right click properties, now click on the driver tab, in the driver tab select the button that says update driver.

      Do as follows

      No don't update from internet.
      Select Install from a list or specific location (advanced)
      Remove the Check from the search removeable media option
      Add a Check to Include this location in the search, browse to the folder where you extracted the files, click ok, if you can't click ok you are in the wrong folder or the files arent there.
      Click Next and the driver should install.

      If possible Please accept benimus solution he has provided the correct drivers for you, I will copy the links he posted for reference.

      If your problem is solved, and you are seeing my solution and not benimurs, please click on the repost button untill you get to a solution provided by benimur and please click on accept when you see him.
