Question about Toshiba Satellite L305-S5921 Notebook
Computer will come on but screen is black
There are a couple of things that it could be , 1, A loose ribbon cable in the back of the monitor, due to a drop, bang, jar, etc. 2, There is a tiny switch the controls the backlighting when you open and close the lid of the laptop, it will stick due to dust, dirt, or hinges being loose or damaged. 3, Your backlighting has quit altogether. If you can see a "ghost image" on the screen in a bright light, it's the backlighting or switch. If you see nothing it could be the switch, loose connection, or the monitor is out. It's difficult to say exactly without troubleshooting the problem.
