I have called all 3 numbers that they offered. Illinois, New York and California. They are all out of Stock. I called 1800 769 3682 which is Rowenta and selected option 5. They also have none, however they have agreed to send me out 2 for free when they come back into stock.

I operate a drapery and custom decor workroom. I got my Rowenta just before Christmas. The gasket just blew today. All the steam is pouring out from under the cap.

Wrote to Rowenta and asked for help.

My iron is spurting steam out of the cap...looking for a replacement gasket as well. Went to Lowe's and bought an "o" ring there and it didn't fix the problem. Hopefully they have the gaskets back in stock.

I showed the part to my husband. He took it to our local Aubuchon Hardware and bought the same size gasket for 59 cents. I just tested it out and my iron works just fine now. The one from the hardware store is black, vs the Rowenta one which is green. Who cares what the color is, no one sees it anyway. However, if you have to send your machine for repair for something else, they may not honor your warranty as you've now added after-market parts. Just thought I mention that. Good luck.

I just came from the hardware store. The part is an O Ring No. 114650

WIre brush the caps screw threads and replace the O Ring ASAP.
DOn't use the iron until you get a new O ring and they need to be the orange/red rubber ones they are able to withstand the hot steam black o rings at home depot won't last.

Boiler on the iron was empty, used by someone that didn't know this type iron.Turned iron on and later heard this awful noise and husband tried to release pressure and cap blew off but no water was in...

I do not use this model, but it would appear the iron is not affected, just the boiler - like setting an empty tea pot on a hot burner.

Is there any warning that the tank is empty before turning the iron on?

I would refer to the manual for cleaning before using the iron and would not loan anything more valuable than a cup of sugar to anyone.
