SOURCE: water will not come through the steam wand

I had the same problem. I took the steam wand off, and checked for steam out of the unit. It was OK, so I stuck a thin wire up through the steam wand and dislodged what look like pieces of a green washer or O-ring.
In short...the wand was plugged.

SOURCE: My Rancilio Silvia developed a terrible burning

Sounds like the machine needs to be descaled and the boiler and element needs to be checked.
Was the machine left on for a long time?
If yes then the element needs to be replaced.

I have a rancilio epoca 1group. After I turn the steam wand off it keeps steaming. Would it need a new valve?

Hi Daren,
You could replace the whole steam valve wand but you don't need to.
The rubber grommet inside the steam valve is worn out and the tap wont close properly - that is why the steam is coming out.
You will find these parts with a commercial rancilio supplier.

Can I regulate the temp on our machine? our Rancilio machine seems to be to be running on too high a temperature. Meaning, we barely turn the steam wand on to steam milk (after the light goes off), an

Silvia has two bimetalic switches that control the boiler temperature. One for brew water and one for steam. They are not exact and they can go bad. They are cheap and easy to replace. Just Google for Rancilio parts.

A much better fix (and more expensive) is to switch to PID control. Google for Rancilio PID control. The conversion is $250+ but once you've gone PID, you'll never go back. The temperature is exact, fast, and totally under your control.

Rancilio steam wand loose not working

Rig wand! you mean steam wand?
Take lid off and see if the knob clib connection to the steam valve is come out. Otherwise, possibly the steam valve's portioning washer is hardened and stuck. BUt sound slike shaft is broken or lost connection to the valve

Steam wand leaks and no pressure.

Ok, remove the right side panel, you will see a red switch connected to the element by a metal coil, make sure power is off and unplugged, then press in red switch, you should hear a click, then open the steam wand and plug machine in and turn on, wait until you see small spurts of steam from wand before closing.

How do I put the steam wand back in?...I removed it to clean and can't get it back in place?

Hi
There is a receptacle below the steam knob underneath. There are 2 o-rings in the receptacle or on the wand. Insert the wand into the receptacle, then screw the nut on until its tight. The wand should swivel.
