These Bush TV 's have a know fault in there power supplies. Www.badcaps.net will help explain the problem more in detail. I am a DIY person the goes wroung picking up old unwanted elders is that people throw away to prove a point that not everything is bad, however not everything is simple. Don't give up and throw it into a landfill just because the problem may be out of your scores e to fix. Should you be handy with a soldering iron and have a local radio shack around you might be able to fix this issue. Bad capacitors are one of the most common faults in power supply units in these flat panels.

Seems its time to replace lamp in your Sony KDF-E50A10
When lamp in TV got weak in result, standby light start blinking and if lamp got broken / dead, you will see lamp light ON.
Lamp replacement procedure is easy and written in user manual, please buy Sony original lamp for TV safety.

SOURCE: standby light flashes 3 times
A 3 flash pattern indicates that either the lamp is not seated correctly or that the lamp door is not latched properly. It can also be a fault with the switches that sense whether the lamp is seated or the door is latched. Try reseating the lamp and relatching the lamp door
