Question about Olympus FE47 Digital Camera
Looking through viewfinder is clear as normal, after picture is taken there are lines across the whole picture, best described like looking through a partly open Venetion Blind. This occurred after taking a picture of the sun, during sunrise, now every picture taken has these lines across them, and I cannot clear them. The fe47 is now useless.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

It is likely that your lens assembly was knocked out of alignment when you dropped the camera. When things do not line up inside the lens the whole unit cannot move in and out. This malfunction requires disassembly to fix, so you will have to get it to a professional for repair. There are providers online who can repair your camera, and also check with your manufacturer to see if they can service the camera at a reasonable rate. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

Hello Kate, See if you can find an internet cafe. I was reading the white balance section of your manual and there is nothing that stops your camera from taking pictures if the white balance is off. Turn your camera off, remove your batteries for about 30 seconds and let it reset to default. Then try inserting the batteries and see if this helps. I wouldn't mind sending you this manual if you can provide an email address. Or a link to go to is: www.olympus.com, then select americas, then select support, then select your camera, then download your manual in PDF format. I wouldn't want your vacation ruined either.
