With no your United States Adjusters abilities to mend your region via several type of sight bearings, next proceed to a brand new list of factors, after which a third to evaluate your own lessons along with compass, then you could go to a compass maker "who is actually certified along with insured" and possess your own compass looked at along with swung for your boat. I'm unsure they'll carry out the task if your compass seriously isn't created by them. in the area we have now Ritchie Nave who I have generally applied along with who We employed in your military services ahead on-board along with approve your deckle's perform. (We would as well as the maker did) it is generally particularly cost for the substantial boat. (And which is taking out your underway expenses)I am sure the different manufacturer's have got related programs, but if you navigate to the web page down below along with verify your assistance area you will discover PEOPLE along with Nations to obtain your own compass looked at United States Adjusters.

WHERE IS THE REMOTE COMPASS MODULE ON A 2008 JEEP COMMANDER

wow no symptoms stated just the boring where is it...
but great question, names car and year, clearly
we've posted the full fsm online here 100s of times.
here we go again.
down load it, then type , (after opening it)
control F, the type compass.
i wonder if a compass car has compass , omg.
i have 2010 and have same book.
did you scan the PCM yet, i bet not.
and its guess what, telling why it fails right now.
see page 8M-6 in book FSM.
the dtc shows car needs degaussing,, now.... see?
and if that error happens the compass goes blank, RTM?

8m-20
calibration, RTM
replacing first is "overthetop", why go there.
first are scans then tests.
or needs just a degaussing... (a tool)
page 27
"NOTE: In addition to the Universal Transmitter
operation the Electronic Overhead Module (EOM)
is responsible for some of the compass functions.
Anytime the EOM is replaced the compass variance
value must be set, (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/
OVERHEAD CONSOLE/ELECTRONIC VEHICLE
INFO CENTER - STANDARD PROCEDURE - COMPASS
VARIATION ADJUSTMENT)."
not only that the PCM can lose commmications with this OEM.
so not scanning all modern cars, is a road to doom.
why skip scanning the car first and checking fuses.?????

scan first
ask questions 2nd.
my motto.... and WIN

USING THE COMPASS WHEN THE COMPASS (4) IS HORIZONTALLY PARALLEL, THE COMPASS (4)...

USING THE COMPASS
WHEN THE COMPASS (4) IS HORIZONTALLY PARALLEL, THE COMPASS (4) WILL
ADJUST THE DIRECTION AUTOMATICALLY. WHEN IT IS STABLIZED, IT WILL
INDICATE THE FOUR DIRECTIONS.

Can I check for errors in my compass myself?

Yes, you can check for error in your compass by aligning the vessel on known headings. The Compass Adjuster Pelorus allows for all the headings to be easily checked.

Compass not working right

Each zone of the United States has a specific zone number that the compass has to be set with..
It depends where you live...Check dealer or owners manual for zone setting...You should have a reset button at dash area....If you ever change battery you will have to reset compass zone normally.....Zone numbers are all single digit I believe.....I am on east coast...S.East...Which is 8 or 9...pending state...................Hope this helps............Metalpoet..........

Can the compass component of this bicycle bell with compass be calibrated/adjusted somehow? It is consistently off by ~90 degrees.

Not really, due to it being a very cheap compass. You can try shaking it around a lot to get it to reset, but you're basically stuck. I would find one with a better compass and go from there.

Compass direction wrong

Compass Calibration
Before calibrating the compass, drive the vehicle to an area that is magnetically clean or free of large metallic objects. Verify there are no magnetized objects on the inside or outside of the vehicle close to the mirror.

Start the engine.
Press and hold the switch for the compass, which may be depicted as COMP, COMPASS, or On/Off (w/UE1) depending on the type of mirror on the vehicle, until the letter "C" or "CAL" is displayed.
Drive the vehicle in circles at a speed of less than 8 km/h (5 mph) until the "C" or "CAL" is replaced by a proper vehicle heading. The calibration procedure is now complete.
Compass Magnetic Variation Adjustment
Magnetic variation adjustments are required when the compass displays a constant error in heading. Variation is the difference between magnetic north and true north due to geographical location.

Headlight adjustments for 90 Volvo 240 DL - The car just failed safety inspection due to the inspector being unable to adjust the headlights. Any recommendations?

Maybe the adjusters are broken. Was this car ever in a front end collision?
Here in CA, there are shops that are certified to do headlamp inspection/adjustment/repair. This type of work requires specialized tools and they have them. They are regular shops that have become certified by the state to do this type of work.
Try to find one of these types of shops in your area. They can help.

You need to adjust the compass to compensate for MAGNETIC North vs TRUE North -- here in Texas we are about 5 degrees East of true north--

Here are some web sites that will help you--
