Paper "accordians" just as it should be coming out of the printer

Instead of emerging from the printer, the copy "catches" somehow and gets tiny little "accordian-like" folds the entire width of the paper, collecting itself just before coming out. There is generally a tiny bit protruding, which I very gently and steadily pull on until I can pull the whole thing free. If I use the heavyweight colored paper I have on hand, there is no problem, so I could just buy a heavier weight white paper, but things like W-2 forms will definitely not be able to be used. My guys found something a while back that looked like it could have been a piece of a roller, so that is what they think the problem is, but they feel that it would cost more to get a roller replaced in the "bowels" of the machine than it would to get a new one. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you'd be better-off using a Brother or other printer with a straight-through printing path for thin paper and documents. Thin or very thin paper is not typically good for laser printers that flip and roll paper as it's being handled. Also, the fuser and various rollers could also be getting dirty and causing the thin paper to stick to them, rather than glide over them.

The fuser roll has little plastic pickoffs that guide the paper out. When a pickoff wears through the surface of the fuser roller, you get the issues you are having. Almost all the machines out there now have a fuser unit you can buy to replace the whole thing.

The copy is getting made, but once it gets to the 'feeding' parts, it gets stuck. we then have to manually pull it out and it looks like an accordian

The fuser (hot rollers) fingers may be broken or bent. Try feeding the paper from a different paper cassette also. Good luck.

KM2030 copier is producing accordian paper. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Normally accordian copies are caused by a fuser unit problem, A sheet of paper may be wrapped around one of the rollers

My copier continues to misfeed even though I have cleared the jam

there are little plastic fingers on the drum and heating rollers (hot), one of those is raised up from the surfaces of either component, causing your paper to catch. both move back and forth on tiny springs. on the fuser you can actually remove several of these fingers if they are the problem and still use. on the drum they must be repositioned or replaced

Labels jamming

Check the entire paper processing path as it sound like either the roller gear is not engaging properly to push the paper out of the top, or the output paper path is somehow blocked, like from a label or something else stuck at the top, the roller gear is damaged, or other obstruction.
