Error code 011 on roku setup

Please try unplugging the Roku from the electric outlet for 5 minutes, then plug it back and try again.

If no luck, please try resetting the Roku pushing the reset hole on the back or bottom of the Roku for 20 seconds (the Roku must be turned on), and then after the 20 seconds release it and wait for it to restart. It may take like 3 or 5 minutes to restart after the reset.

Then please follow the steps below from your ROKU:
1- Go to the Settings menu, then click "Network"

2- Then you need to select "repeat guided setup"

3- Select the name of your wireless network.

4- Then if prompted, enter the password XXXXX your wireless network. That's it!, it should work now.

If you get an error message here, then probably you are entering the wrong network password. Do you know your wireless network password?

Please let me know if the issue is not solved clicking the "Reply to your expert" gray button, so we can continue troubleshooting.

My wi fi button will not turn on

Hi Brenda,

If its the button then it can be hardware problem, but you can also check if your "Wireless Network Connection" is currently disabled.

And for you to enable it, see the details below:
1. Click "Start", and look and select "Control Panel"
2. Click "Network and Internet" and select "Network Connections"
3. If the "Wireless Network Connection" is grayed out, use your right mouse button and choose "Enable"

Also see screen shot below for Windows Vista or 7 users.

Hope this will help.

My dell laptop c840 will not pick up my home wifi. What's the problem?

You should not have a IP address in the settings. You should let it pick up the ip address automatically.

Try these steps:

Let's start with Internet Options. If you have Windows XP Click Start/Control Panel/Internet Options. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 click Start/Control Panel/Network and Internet/Internet Options.

When the Internet Options window opens on the General Tab make sure you have a valid web address as the Home Page. If not, create a simple Home Page by typing: You don't have to click OK now because if you do the Internet Options window will close.

Click the Security Tab and under where it says "select a zone to view or change settings" Click on the one that says Internet, then scroll down to near the bottom right and make sure that DEFAULT is grayed out (whereas you cannot click on it). You can Click on Default just to be sure. Next click the Intranet so that it is highlighted and make sure DEFAULT is grayed out so that you cannot click on it. Do the same thing for the other two zones (Trusted Sites and Restricted Sites). After all zones under the Security Tab are set to Default click the next Tab which is the Privacy tab.

On the Privacy Tab you want to make sure that DEFAULT is grayed out, if not click on it. When in doubt just click the Default tab.

Next skip over the Content tab and proceed to click the Connections Tab. On the Connections Tab make sure that the Never Dial A Connection is checked if you have something in the white box above it in for Dialup and Virtual Private Networks settings. Look down on the right near the bottom and Click the LAN SETTINGS button. When Lan Settings open up the only box that should be checked is the very first box that says: Automatically Detect Settings. If any other box is checked remove the check from it or you will never be able to connect. Click OK to close the LAN SETTINGS tab.

Next skip over the Programs tab and click the Advanced tab. When it opens slide the blue bar on the right all the way down until you get to the bottom of the window. You want to be able to make sure that if you see something like (Use SSL 2.0, Use SSL 3.0, Use TSL 1.0) that you put a check in the box to the left of each one of them. Afterwards you can click OK to close the Internet Options Window.

Check your Network Settings for TCP/IP (you might have TCP/IPv4 and TCPIP/V6 if so check both of them).

For Windows XP below:
Click Start/Control Panel/Network Connections then Right Click on the Wireless Network Connection and select Properties. When the Properties window open click the Networking tab. Find the Protocol (TCP/IP) in the drop down window that says "This Connection Uses The Following Items" and Double Click on it to open it. You should make sure that you select Obtain IP Address Automatically and Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically. Click OK.

For Windows Vista below:

Click Start/Control Panel/Network and Sharing Center then look to the left of the open window and click Manage Network Connections. Right Click on the Wireless Network then select Properties. Find the Protocol (TCP/IPv4, TCP/IPv6) in the drop down window that says "This Connection Uses The Following Items" and Double Click on it to open it. You should make sure that you select Obtain IP Address Automatically and Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically. Click OK.

For Windows 7 below:
Click Start/Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network and Sharing Center then look to the left and select Manage Network Connections. Click OK.

I installed TP-Link WN7200 on Windows 7 Home Premium, the drivers is not digitally signed. The adapter is disabled and I can't enable it. There is no error in device manager. Please help me.

It is ok if the driver is not digitally signed. There's no need to worry.

To enable the adapter:
  1. Click on the Windows Start button
  2. Type in "network"
  3. Open "Network and Sharing Center"
  4. On the left bar, click on "Change Adapter Settings"
  5. Select your wireless adapter
  6. Right click on the wireless adapter then select Enable.
If you cannot select Enable, it means your adapter is already enabled. The adapter has a gray icon due to it not being connected to a router.

How do you get the internet

select internet from the Wii settings screen, then go to the internet setup screen.
first, you should make sure you have a high-speed (broadband) Internet connection like cable or dsl. then, you should see if your network is wired or wireless.

-your network is wired, then you have a LAN, and you can connect your Wii with the network with a Wii LAN Adapter which can be sold at

-your network is wireless, then you can use the Internet Setup in the settings to search for your access point. all you have to do is select the connection settings option, select an open connection indicated by "None", select wireless connection, select search for an access point, see if you can select your access point from a list (if it shows up), select OK, and select OK to test the connection

-your network is not wireless, then do you have a PC running Windows XP directly connected to your high-speed Internet connection? if so, then you can connect your Wii if you get the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector and use Internet Setup to connect with it.

we actually have the wireless router to connect to ours and it works perfectly. you can also check the Wii Operations Manual (gray book) for even more details. its on pages 51-59. you should start on page 51 though.
i hope this helped a lot!

Unable to to get cable channels in modulator. Set to cable, channels 73/75 but "connection" grayed out. Cable signal strong. Able to read Digital channels on Local set up with same i/p.

The connection button is not utilized from the "Modulator Setup" screen. When changing the channel for TV 2, you can arrow over to either air or cable and pressing select. This will select that option and change the channel to either 60 for air or 73 for cable. Once this selection is made then you would move to the "Done" button and press select. You will return to the "Installation" menu, then cancel out till you are back to the TV screen. I hope this helps.

Sounds like your wireless is disabled.

If your using windows xp, check the following.
Go to your start menu
go to your control panel (might be under settings, might not.)
from control panel, if it says "Choose a Category" click switch to classic view.
open your Network Connections Icon.
If "Wireless Network Connection" is grayed out, right click it and choose, "Enable."

In Windows Vista
Go to the bottom right hand corner of your screen to the icons.
Right click on the double monitors (network connection)
Select Network and Sharing Center
Click on Open Network Connections
If "Wireless Network Connections:" is grayed out, right click it and choose, "Enable."

If it is enabled, and you already have wireless built in to your laptop, then it's possible the wrong wireless card is enabled. If this is the case, when you open your network connections, you will have two Wireless Network Connection Icons.
A Wireless Network Connection, and a Wireless Network Connection 2. Make sure 2 is enabled, and the first one without a number is disabled.

Let me know if this helps.
