Test the high voltage capacitor, the rectifier diode.or the magnetron. If all this are fine, test the control board.

If it additionally does not spin and no light, then check also the door switch and fuse.

The diode and capacitors can br tested. The capacitor must be allowed discharge before testing, or you risk to get electrocuted, even if power is off. Capacitors can get discharged by shorting their two contacts.
Replace the magnetron if the checks and all of the high voltage component tests are good, but the unit still does not heat.

All locations, and description of this parts can be located using the diagram here: Counter top.

Parts must be tested to find out what is wrong.

Remember that microwaves are potentially dangerous devices if not repaired properly, the job must be done by a competent person.
A microwave energy leakage test must always be performed when the oven is serviced for any reason.

Regarding parts, contact the seller here to purchase parts. (here in UK).

Failure should be found in the high voltage (HV) section of microwave oven.
Magnetron, HV capacitor, HV diode or HV fuse, tranformer HV secondary coil

The microwave isnt heating.

If everything else works, like the light, motor, keypad but not heat, means that the magnetron circuit has failed. If it hums or buzzes loudly when heating food, means that the magnetron is shorted. The replacement part is almost as much as a new oven so it does not make sense to fix. Sorry.

Microwave won'i heat!

Almost certain your magnatron has gone or the capacitor and HVdiode. Normally the cap and diode is my first area.(assuming you dont have testing equiptment) With long nose pliers remove wires and diode from the cap. Dont touch the terminals as there is voltage there. if you discharge che cap and it flashes, the cap is ok. Replace the diode then. once done it no heating still, replace the magnatron.(Taking it that the transformer isnt blown)

Microwave will not heat food.

Sometimes inside the machine there is a fuse for this, if you can remove the outer case you should be able to see it, HOWEVER let me tell you that i have been in this position and have replaced the fuse and the machine then works only to die again, once this happens it is usally a sign that either the tube or a transformer is gone and it normally isnt worth getting fixed.

MICROWAVE NOT HEATING

I have the same problem. Everything seems to work except it doesn't heat up food.
I remember last time when it was working. I pressed the start botton before I closed the door. So it didn't start automatically, and I pushed start and it worked(it still heat up the food), but it doesn't work now. Help Please!!!
I have a Whirlpool Gold GH5184XPQ.

Thanks in advance
