Even with a light dry snow, it doesn't always throw far. Not consistent. Sometimes it's okay and sometimes snow just seems to sit on the ground and I'm pushing it forward even though rotor blades are turning. Unit bought in 1999. Have replaced belt once, but have never replaced blades.

the problem could be the snow is to heavy for the motor to keep up, if thats the case you may need to upgrade to a more powerful model or try not to overload it. take it a little slower so the motor can keep up. but try tightening the belt. with your pointer finger push down on the belt it should have about a half inch give, if it moves more than that its too loose and probably slipping under load

On one side of your machine you will find a cover that you can remove, the belt for the auger is in there. From what I can see there is no adjustment. Check to see how the belt looks. If it's chewed up it will need to be replaced. If you remove the belt try to turn the impeler to see if it turns freely, if it doesn't then check to see if there is something wedged. if nothing is wedged and the belt is off and it still don't turn by hand it could posibly be a bad bearing.if it does turn by hand. Also check the belt pulleies to see if they are ok, the only pulley that will sshould spin freely is the idler pulley, the one on the engine shaft should spin the moter so make sure you pull the spark plug wire off to check that one, and the auger pulley should spin with the auger.

I too experience the same problem with my CCR 100, blades spinning light snow only a few inches deep blows only 2 to 3 feet at best and some times just piles up inside of the blades and I end up pushing up a ***** of it, HAVE REPLACED THE BELT this season and first time out still have the same issues. If trying to blow to the side it is even worse, I guess this is why it was given to me. My thoughts are the 3 hp. engine is not enough to blow the snow?
Mine is going into the shop tomorrow to have blades replaced. Hoping it will work. Might be a week before getting it back. Will let you know what happens after getting it back and there's another snow -- and there's seems to be plenty of snow this year%@!$#^%$
Just received first snow (3") after getting blower back with new rotor blades. Works like new! Thanks for the advice.
Replaced paddles, like you said works most of the time, this time it did not improve that much maybe blowing light snow to 5'. Tried different tensions on the belt as well, no better. Engine doesn't bog down just wont throw more than 5' maybe that is all it is capable of.
