Update the drivers/ software from the manufacturers website as there may be a patch that addresses this issue. Gareth

Why my printer will not print?

I'm not sure what might be exactly your problem but some time ago I wanted to extend the cable from my paralell por to my scanner and realized that even if the cables joined perfectly, the scanner didn't work.
So I went to a computer store and wanted to buy a longer cable but salesman explained me that it shouldn't work for my scanner because pins were different. Your problem might be this.
Look for a GOOD computer technician and ask him if this is the problem and if he can adapt a cable from PCI card to printer.

Executing OTP version 3.04

Hook a VGA monitor, keyboard and mouse up to it. Then turn it on to see if it's booting into Windows or even into the BIOS. If it's booting into Windows, then download your autoloader firmware from (click the support link, then your model, download the autoloader firmware) -- then unzip it somewhere on your Rimage and use Gemini Utilities to update the firmware in the autoloader. Then restart the computer and see if you still see the same message.

The printer being recognized is tied very closely to the autoloader firmware working. Also, it helps to make sure the printer's switch is set to the position marked for Transport.

Burn errors cant get drive to write

It looks like from error codes that yoi may have a hardware error, or a disk format problem, if this is only burning problem you have on pc and it worked before, then uninstall and reinstall Nero, info gathered from here,
sense code 5 ASC 2c= 5 / 2C / 00 COMMAND SEQUENCE ERROR
5ASC2700=5 / 27 / 00 WRITE PROTECTED
Please give good rating if this helps you or points you in right direction, thanks

Samsung SH-S202N CD DVD burner

I have the same Samsung Multi DVD Recorder as it calls itself and it works OK with XP for me. You probably need to install the Nero software that came with it as it normally contain the hardware drivers that are needed. Sorry if I'm too late with this reply but I only just came across your post.

Problem with burner after removing hijacked file

It depends what HP PC you have, it should say on the front or on the labelling on the back, but most HP's do not ship with recovery (software) CD's. Instead they have an inbuilt recovery system that runs from the Hard Disk Drive and will run a non-destructive recovery by default, in other words it will restore the PC's factory shipped software without destroying your personal data. Even so, if you have an external HDD or another option it's always a good idea to backup your personal info before you run recovery. To access the recovery system on a Windows XP based HP PC you can: 1: Click either Start, then All Programs, then HP Tool, then HP System Recovery Or on some models: Start, then All Programs, then PC Help & Tools, then HP System Recovery 2: Keep pressing the F10 key from the moment you switch the PC on and following the on screen instructions. Or on a Windows Vista based HP PC: 1: Click Start, then All Programs, then Recovery Manager, then Recovery Manager again 2: Keep pressing F11 key from the moment you switch the PC on until it says "Windows is loading files..." on screen, once Recovery Manager loads click advanced options, select system recovery, select "backup your files first" and follow the on screen instructions. With some model HP's your PC will look the same as ever when you restart but with others your personal data will be in a folder within the Documents & Settings folder on your C: drive. If you need any more help message back.
