Make the mp3 150KB or less, with software like:
"MP3 To Ringtone Gold 8.7 Full (XP Only)"
or other Mp3 Converters.
Files over 150 KB are not allowed.

How to add mp3 or recieved files to messaging tone?

Sounds like you may need to purchase a media card for your phone and download music, etc to the media card. Once this is done then you can choose ringtones, graphics, etc from the media card.

I can't save ringtones via email attachment to my i425

Boost Mobile does not accept ringtones from 3rd parties, whether its sent via email or mp3 attachment. U might want to try sending it through the SMS. Maybe u can save it that way. Only way I've been able to get ringtones is thru the Boost site only. No "free ringtone" websites are able to send ringtones thru a message, cuz Boost blocks this. And Ive tried them all. Until they provide us with phones with SD cards, were outta luck, sorry.

Bluetooth down loads to ringtones

hello, wel if you already recieved it remember this cellphone has some 'conditions' in order for a ringtone to be accepted. it only takes mp3 and they MUST have the following chars:

8kHz (frecuency)
64Kbps (binary index)
MP3 (file format)
1 mono (channel)

then you gotta save it under the Audio section (not music) and just set it as a ringtone. It must appear on your ringtone list once it has passed the conditions. If you saved it on your MiniSD card then you need to either copy it to the phone Or enable the option thru a service application. Hope this helps.
