Question about HTC Desire HD Cell Phone

1 Answer

My HTC Desire turns off every time I plug in the charger, and won't turn back on until I take the battery out. It is also not charging. Why? What can I do to fix it? Do I need a new phone?

Hi,

If you are under warranty, then exchange your battery.
Then it will work properly.

If it is not working then take it to service center.
No need to buy a new phone.
Why to waste money?

Cheers...!!!

SOURCE: My g1 randomly shuts off...its charged..but won't

All you have to do is change the battery,in this case, battery don't have enough performance to save power and can not distribute current on the phone that's why it direct rely on the charger, when you see your battery is already deform its shape, expect low performance on your phone as well as easily got low battery level.

My Computer Kepps Turning off!

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Have you attempted taking the battery out and while the battery is out holding down the power button for a few seconds? If this doesn't work,
First test your charger to ensure proper charging. Clean charging ports. Remove battery and clean brass contacts with alcohol and q-tip

My phone turned off yesterday n now won't turn back on at all. What do I do I need to use it today

Try these few simple steps.

1. Remove battery.
2. Wait 30 seconds then replace battery
3. Plug in your phone charger.
4. Leave for 10 minutes.

Now try to switch on your phone.

If it doesn't switch on, take back to where it was purchased.
It may just be a charger problem but it could also be charger port or phone hardware.
