Question about Washing Machines
The belt that connects the knitting carriages to the motor is broken, I can get a new belt from USA or Canada, but here in NZ we don't seem to have a repair person, so we need a repair manual for the Electra 2000- or the Electra3000 might help- these motors made by MADAG. Nothing I can find on the internet is very helpful. We need to make sure we can take the motor apart and replace the belt and put it back together! Anyhelp appreciated

check and see if one of the wires came off the capacitor on the motor. if one of these wires come off then it won't spin also make sure that your lid switch is hooked up and working properly. will it fill with water?

The tub springs are attached to the slot on the base of the washer just under the rear edge of the tub while the other ends are attached in a V-position to the slots on the flange at the bottom edge of the tub. Attach the springs upsidedown to avoid the possibility of rubbing each other and result in a noisy operation of the washer.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the spring placement. That solves part of the problem. What keeps the tub up against the top of the cabinet? It is not now connected to "
