SOURCE: INSTALLING A CLARION MODEL DRX6375 CAR STEREO INTO MY HONDA ACCORD 1995

If you go to your local stereo shop (or even Wal-Mart..) you can get the harness that plugs directly into your cars wiring for about $5-10. It will have the EXACT same wire colors as the harness that came with the Clarion. Just match them up, plug it in and you're good to go!

SOURCE: I just install new Clarion BTL370 in the Clarion

A few things to check...

Make sure the receiver is set to "tel sw" or something similar in the menu. From there, you should be able to set the call to the left or right speaker. Make sure you set the headset to the same side.

Another thing to check, make a call and get connected through the headset. Now wait a few seconds and push a button on the phone to power the backlight. If it is wired correctly, you should see the "connected" timer on your phone keep time. If it appears that you are connected, the problem is most likely in the settings.

Also, if nothing else works, make sure that you have the accessory wire(should be red on the BLT370) connected to the right wires. All the other wires will power it on even if this wire is not connected correctly.

Clarion DXZ785USB - Connecting Fused Lines

You will definitely need to connect the Yellow Wire Memory Back-Up Lead, since this is the connection from the radio to the battery that stores the time and your presets. If it is not hooked up, you can use the radio, but all your settings will return to default once you turn off the car. The Yellow Wire Bus Power Lead sounds like it would be for powering an auxiliary unit like a Sat Radio or HD Radio add-on. You will not need to connect this unless you have an add-on such as one of these.

Kenwood Head Unit Making a Loud Popping Noise at the Start and Finish of each track

my mate had the same problem with his stereo in his case it was power related if u are usin crimp connections or any other form of connection to the speakers or the subs that is not a soldered joint it could be that we had to re wire his system with soldered joints and it worked ok. but other than that it could also be ur wires themselves with power cutting out cos the poppin sounds to me like the power cuttin out or in. other than that i really cant think of anything hopefully that helps
