Utilitech wall timer

Utilitec timers do not have replaceable batteries.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Program-wire-Utilitec-0192773.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/Program-wire-Utilitec-LW60418.html
Older timer designs have batteries, while more modern timers have internal rechargeable battery that is integral with circuit board, and cannot be replaced. The battery holds memories in event of power outage, but current time must be reset if power is out for extended time.
If you have continual problems with failed timers, then have electrician friend run test on your power for spikes, shortages and surge that will cause timers and other non-hardened electronics to fail frequently. Also check for polarity and grounding issues. Also if you have motors, other electronics and/or fluorescent lights on same circuit, this can cause interference.
Also check load limitations, and load on timer to make sure you are not exceeding the timer rating. For example using timer to control motor when timer is rated for non-inductive incandescent loads.
Reset timer using reset button, and then re-program. Buy another timer at Lowes and return defect in new package for refund.
Buy Intermatic ST01C timer. This timer uses CR2 battery, and timer electronics operate separately from electric line. Rated for any load: motors, cfl bulbs, led, incandescent, etc.

Sunset sunrise doesn't seem to work anymore

Timer is not identified.
If digital timer does not function as before, try resetting timer and then re-program.
If timer has battery, then change battery and reset timer.
If reset does not restore functionality, then timer has gone bad. Most in-wall timers have 1 year limited warranty.

Below are common 7-day timers, but there are many different brands:

You posted under Woods 7-day timer: except Woods timer does not astronomic dawn dusk function. Woods 7-day is same as Tork 7-day and GE 7-day, and they do not have astronomic function.

http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#59028
Reset button is small round button.
Push in reset with toothpick or paper clip.
Then reprogram timer.

If you have Intermatic ST01C or EJ500 battery operated timer: Replace battery, then to reset timer: push-and-hold ON_OFF button, and then push reset button. Keep holding on-off button until display changes. Release on-off button and display will flash 12:00. Then reprogram timer.

If you have Utilitec astronomic timer, then press reset button and reprogram:

I replaced my batteries and it still read Lowbat. Is the unit gone bad?

Unit might be bad.
EJ500 has 1 year limited warranty.
Try resetting timer: hold down on-off button and push-and-release reset button.
Keep holding on-off button until display screen changes.
This action will reset timer, and if 12:00 is flashing then timer will probably accept programming.
Reprogram timer.

I have a TI84 plus texas instruments i have removed both the batteries in order to reset the unit but it still has not resetted the unit. All I am getting all zeros on the screen

First try removing all four AAA batteries and the small lithium backup battery (above the four AAA batteries). Leave all batteries out for five minutes, then replace them and try to start the calculator. If this doesn't work...

Replace all but 1 AAA battery. Press and hold the "CLEAR" button on the calculator. While holding the "CLEAR" button down, replace the missing AAA battery. While still holding the "CLEAR" button, turn the calculator on. The display should read "RAM Cleared". Release the "CLEAR" button and press again to remove the message.

If that doesn't work, remove 1 AAA battery again. Repeat the preceding instructions with the "DEL" key: With the battery removed, press and hold the "DEL" key. With the "DEL" key held down, replace the battery and turn the calculator on. The screen should say "Waiting... Please install calculator software now." Release the "DEL" key. Download this program onto your computer (from Texas Instruments). Connect the calculator to the computer using the USB cable provided with purchase. Run the TI OSDownloader program and follow the on-screen instructions to re-install the calculator's operating system.

The wall timer to my outside lights says "noop"

noop means no operation.
This usually shows on older timer.
You posted under Intermatic ST01C.
Other have written to fixya with same symptoms.

CR2 battery might be bad. Replace battery.
Replace battery quickly and current time remains in memory.
Battery out of timer longer than 30 seconds, then current time and day disappear.
Programming remains inside timer forever with or without battery until timer is reset.
Others report they changed battery and timer never came back to life afterward.
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html#battery

Manual troubleshoot section also suggests resetting timer, and then re-programming.
Manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-st01c.pdf
To reset timer, hold down ON-OFF button and push small round reset button with paper clip.
Push reset for 3 seconds and release.
Keep holding down ON-OFF until INIT shows on display.
Release ON-OFF and wait for display to show.
If display never shows, then battery is dead or timer is bad.
ST01C comes with 1 year limited warranty.

Advantage of Intermatic battery operated timer is simple wiring, plus astronomic function (dawn-dusk).
All in-wall timers have advantages and disadvantages.

I have a new Nordik digital indoor timer TD133B. It has never displayed information on it's screen. The instruction manual indicates plugging it in for an hour to charge the battery. I did this but still...

Most plug-in timers have rechargeable battery that is not replaceable.
Instructions say: Plug in timer for hour and then unplug it to set programs.
Intermatic makes a couple plug-in outdoor timers with replaceable batteries that load from back of timer, but otherwise batteries are rechargeable.
If battery will not charge, then display doesn't show, and that signals the timer is no good.
Take timer back if you can, and exchange for another.

I was looking at timers in Walmart and Target yesterday (since my specialty, and interest is timers).
New plug-in timers are inexpensive.
Lowes and Home Depot also carry inexpensive plug-in timers.

Be sure to save timer instructions because generally, store-bought timer brands don't show manuals on-line. Except GE brand timers from Home Depot.
