Question about Canon PIXMA MP600 all-In-One InkJet Printer
This is the most frustrating problem ever as you can't even scan without seeing this message. I ended up calling Canon and finding out that it was simply a bad print head (aka ink cartridge) and they sent me a free replacement. How long have you had the printer and this problem? If you haven't used it really before, then I suggest calling Canon at 1-800-828-4040. Most likely it just needs to be replaced so I recommend trying to get a free one out of Canon, but if not then I imagine you could just go to your local office supply store and buy a new one. I don't recommend putting a cartridge in it that is a refill or something that is not Canon brand.
