Question about Frigidaire 14 Cycle Tumble Action Washer
It appears the wide rubber gasket/seal around the front of the washer door has been torqued out of place. The basket itself spins fine, how ever, is out of balance. Model number GLTF1670AS0

Hitchhiker, you don't have to remove the front of the washer. The original boot was glued in areas around the door. They came out with a new design because of water leakage on the bottom. The new kit, part number 5303937187 comes with a spring that holds it on to the panel. You can do one or two things, if you don't have the leaking problem, glue the boot back on. Or you can order the new kit, it comes with instructions and replace the whole boot. Check it out, it might be covered under service flash #26-758BR. In any event this job can be done by leaning the washer back against the wall to make room between the tub and front panel. You are going to need an assist, it's better with 2 people. I too had the same problem, I closed the soap tray and a magnet popped out and got stuck to the door. Same problem with it acting like it was going to start and then beeped. This is where the magnet goes, just stick it back in, its held in with pressure (barely) :)
I took the whole control panel off to locate the magnetic reed switch, then just reverse engineered where the magnet is supposed to go on the soap drawer.

The only way to realign this is toremove the sping under the lip at the door portion of the seal, this is a tough one youll need a third and forth hand.
