Cyberhome Faltique 15 TV only shows first 12 cable channels

This set used to show all non-digital cable channels but now only shows about 12. It is hooked directly to the cable with no convertor box. Any ideas? Thanks, LS

Try re tuning the cable box, if this does not work, check cable connection and give a call to cable company to verify your encryption.

Run again the cable box setup wizard and and ensure you choose cable when asked.

If still no luck call the cable company, the first 12 channels may be only not scrambled ones, and the box is not downloading the right codes.

Try identifying which caption is from the TV and which is from the cable box by turning the TV Closed Caption on and off while you have to sets of captioning. This will show you which closed caption never turns off.

Certain cameras are showing the same video.

First you need to isolate the problem. Step one - make sure the video from the cameras is correct - use a monitor and check each input separate. If the video is correct, use one camera and start from input one on the DVR and check all inputs - in other words plug your camera in input 1, check for video to make sure is correct and shows up in the right place, than go to input 2. This way you check your DVR cards. If the video shows up, but in the wrong place - check the settings on the DVR - you might be able to change the physical input in the viewer.Or you might have a bad DVR.......do a search for DVR Doctors in Google - in case you need repair.

Tv does not show hd picture it only shows normal tv picture

The tv alone will not show HD picture. You will need a set top box to watch HD programs and channels. You need what is called a Digital decoder box. You may want to purchase a PVR.
because your VCR will not record Digital video or audio.

I have a Panasonic PV-V4525S VCR and I'm trying to program it to work with the Comcast cable. Right now it will only record the same channel that the TV is on and I have to tell the VCR to record channel...

If your using digital cable it will only record channel 3 or 4 depending on what your cable box is set to...In order for it to record different channels it needs a cable source plugged directly into it. You will only be able to record standard cable channels 1-125. If it's digital cable forget about... you can only record it with channel 3/4 a solution to this would be using a 2nd digital box.. "auto-programming" may be limited even with a 2nd cable box. If your only using standard cable 1-125... you can use the TV/VCR button it will switch between the tuner of the TV & VCR allowing you to record while you watch a different show... keep in mind this won't work for digital channels which if I'm not mistaken comcast has already converted all channels to digital even basic.

Taping to vhs from digital cable

You do not need to leave the TV on. To get the clearest picture you should connect the AV cables (yellow, white, red) from the cable box to the VCR, and from the VCR to the TV. There should be a setting on both the TV and the VCR to set the input to VIDEO so you don't have to use channel 3. You can shut the TV off while recording if you want. Also be careful because if you use the channel guide or info button while recording, it will show up on the tape.

Bravia & Sky+HD, aspect problem

There is nothing wrong with you Sony Bravia TV and it suppport all HD and SD formats.

Are you viewing the HD version of the channel when it is showing a standard defination show. e.g SKY1 HD instead of SKY1.

This means that regular standard defination shows are in a 4:3 ratio and does not fill the whole screen. In order to view these type of shows you will need to tune to regular channel instead of the HD version.

You can check if a show is brocast in HD by going into the tv guide and checking for the HD symbol in the programme symposis.

Bought a proscanlcd hdtv 32lb30Q unable to get cable signal

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, pls confirm if below is how it is wired using a coaxial cable and not 3cable RCA to RCA:
  • Charter Digital Cable > DVD/VCR > TV
If yes and your concern is snowy or no signal on the TV screen, might it be that you have to power OFF the DVD/VCR when selecting channels on the TV itself (including when channel setup is being done).

Alternately, you can tune the TV to channel 3 and let the DVD/VCR do the channel selections.

Pls post back results. Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

Trouble with my cyberhome ch-dvd 300

I have the same model player it pauses some of the times on some disks in some locations, I read at videohelp.com a resolution for this for skip frames for those who use PAL and mine skip frames after pausing though I have not tried PAL perhaps this remote code solution might fix this or some have had firmware updates though I could not find any firmware updates as any solution by CyberHome being this happens only happens some of the time it might not be possible to resolve this and taking it to a repair shop likely would not be worth it I am unsure if some software versions helps this Please let me know what you find out, okay? Email does not always go through, hence if you do not get a reply in 24 hours after you email me please try to contact me else how, okay?
