SOURCE: the oven turns off after 30 mins

Is the clock re-setting and flashing? Either the fan is failing and the oven is overheating, or the thermostat is faulty and the oven THINKS it is overheating. It is a fail-safe kicking in, momentarily cutting power to the oven to avoid lasting damage.
Set the time on the clock and the oven should be okay to go again, but if problem repeats, replace the fan and/or the thermostat - it is difficult even for an engineer with all his equipment to diagnose which of the two is at fault, but its about all there is to go wrong on a gas oven.

Your thermocouple is bad. Your oven has a safety device called a thermocouple. It detects the flame so that when the flame is not present, it will shut off the gas so that you do not have an explosive problem.

When the thermocouple goes bad, it cannot detect the flame, there for the gas will be shut off. Often times it will work okay for a short time, and then go out.

The thermocouple is a thin copper flexable tube that has a prob on one end that sits in front of the pilot light, and the other end screws into the gas valve.

This not a hard part to replace. You just unscrew the old one, take the prob out of the pilot assembly, and then put the new one in with the probe in place, run it back to the valve, and screw it in making sure it is in tightly.

SOURCE: Moved into a house with no manual for the oven.

Check your oven sensor. It should read around 1100 ohms @ room temp.

Press and hold the timer and casserole symbol buttons at the same time then press or - to set the time. If "auto" flashes you will have to cancel that programme.

Diplomat Softline ADP0300 Gas-just not cooking ...anything!

Hi there..
I Just recently had the same problem, also with a diplomat gas oven..
The problem I found was down to a small resetable component under the main cover. ..
It took me ages to find the problem and I had taken the whole electical parts of the oven to bits before 'accidentaly' coming across this 'thermal switch' (located inside the main cover, at the top, behind the display module).. - to reset this there is a tiny red button between the connectors.. press this - and it should all be fine again... : One importnat note is that this may be tripping as a consequence of the fan not running or by my thinking not running on after the oven is switched off, leaving the casing to heat up and then trip this switch component.. - if this component is faulty it can be found in RS components or Farnell components.. look for Thermal swich manual reset part no: L100C 9082 470.
