Hi.

If you look at the front left side of machine there is a removeable inspection port it will have 2 coloured buttons you press these in & pull it up to remove.
Now pull handle back as if vacuuming the floor.
Now where the inspection port was you will see that there is a square hole pull forward on the flap in front of square hole it pivots just behind the round rubber seal.
Slowly lift handle back up at the same time The part with the 2 long grooves in it must go under the flap as you lift handle.

Dyson dc25 will not stand up

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

If your DC25 won't stand upright, it's likely that the stabiliser pedal needs to be realigned. This is simple to do by following the steps shown in our video guide:

I'm confident this will resolve the issue, but if you'd like further help or advice you're welcome to call our experts directly on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Hi Lindsay, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear about this. When your vacuum is standing upright, the suction should be automatically diverted to the wand and hose for above-floor cleaning. From what you've described, it sounds like your machine may have a blockage, or something jamming the changeover valve which is preventing it from moving freely.

To check everything is correct with your machine, please follow the steps shown in our online Support guide: http://www.dyson.com/support/dc28/dc28-animal/diagnosis-root-menu/dc28filterwashvid/wand-suction-dc28

This should resolve the issue, but if you would like some further advice after you've given this a try, our experts are happy to help. You can reach us by emailing askdysonUS@dyson.com.

Best wishes,

Jack

Dyson 07 plug gets very hot after prolonged vacuuming

Electrical current passes through the electric cord and plug - it will get warm, that's normal. If the problem is worse where you smell an electrical burning smell, only an authorized dealer can fit a new power cord to your vacuum cleaner. Call the Dyson helpline, they will let you know who the closest repair dealer in your area is.
