SOURCE: my bulldog Model 2010 Alarm is too sensitive and

I got this from their website.

Adjusting the Shock Sensor Sensitivity
To adjust the shock sensor, disarm the system, press and hold Button #3 (Finder) until the alarm chirps four times
(approximately five seconds), immediately release the button. Tap your vehicle’s hood above the alarm at the sensitivity
level you wish. The harder you hit the car the less sensitivity the alarm will be. The alarm will then chirp three
times. The shock sensor is now set at this sensitivity. Any shock that is equal to, or greater than this sensitivity,
will sound the alarm. Set the sensitivity as often as you wish; however, the sensitivity level will remain set until
the battery is disconnected or you reset it. If you do not tap the car it will automatically go to maximum sensitivity.
This setting is only acceptable if the car is parked inside a garage. NOTE: The factory setting on the shock sensor
should be acceptable for most vehicles.

Alarm keeps going on and off

More than likely, the sonic sensor has too much sensitivity, and some low level vibrations, such as exhaust noise from nearby cars/ trucks, thunder OR animals going under the car, might set it off. If you have the PRESTIGE alarm, the alarm box on the left kicker panel, has an adjusting screw for the sensitivity. If other brand, it probably has a way to adjust it as well. If it was a problem with doors/ trunk sensor, it would set off as soon as the alarm is armed, so i dont think this is your case.

Need to reset prestige car alarm - going off intermittently

If your alarm is going off intermittently:

It could be the shock sensor; usually located around the steering column under the dash. It is a small black box with two small lights ( one red, one green) and a philips screw used to adjust the sensitivity. Counter clockwise reduces the sensitivity.

It could be an open trigger: door, trunk, or hood pin. If you have a pin in the trunk or under the hood that was added by the installer, they sometimes can be inadvertently bent downward by loading the trunk or, some guy changing your oil. If that is the case, just bend them back upwards until they make contact with the hood/trunk lid when closed and you receive one chirp when arming the system.

Here is a quick way to determine what exactly is causing the alarm to trigger:
After the alarm triggers, disarm the alarm and pay close attention to the LED light. One flash is the shock sensor. Two flashes is the hood/trunk pin. Three flashes is the door trigger.

Prestige alarm sounds off all hours of the night why please help!

The problem could possibly be that the shock sensor is too sensitive. It may need to be adjusted. You will need to find the alarm module and see if it has a built in shock sensor or if it separate. Either way adjusting the sensor will help.

Make car alarm more sensitive

Locate the shock sensor. Using a small screwdriver you can adjust the sensitivity of the sensor. Move srew in only 1/4 turns as this will make big adjustments. Adjustments may make alarm too sensitive so try it out and see what works for you.
