Microsoft .NET Framework

This error comes up immediately at startup. ''Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'' Then, in details, it says: See the end of this message for4 details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box,

This error may have nothing to do with your .NET installation. Some programs do not work well with .NET framework. Have you recently installed any software or updated any?

If you try updating your .NET framework and it does not work, post a list of everything you have recently installed or updated

To resolve this problem, register the Adodb.dll file in the global assembly cache (GAC). On a computer where only the .NET Framework is installed, the file Gacutil.exe does not exist.. Either obtain the gacutil file by installing Microsoft .NET Framework SDK, or create a Visual Studio.NET setup project that uses the installer to install the correct components.

To register Adodb.dll in the GAC, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start and then click Run.
  2. In the Run dialog box, type the following command, and then click OK:
    C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705\gacutil /i C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\Primary Interop Assemblies\adodb.dll

Invoking the debugging does not help, you need to update Windows Net Framework, but do a system restore first.

This message comes up when you have either a missing or corrupt Microsoft .NET
Framework Version or a missing or corrupt
    DirextX installation.

If the problem started recently, start doing a system restore to a date before you started having the message.

If that does not work, to fix it reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework.

WHAT IS VB.NET?

Visual Basic .NET (VB.NET) is an object-oriented computer programming language that can be viewed as an evolution of Microsoft's Visual Basic (VB) which is generally implemented on the Microsoft .NET Framework. It is a competing technology to Sun's (now Oracle's) Java 2 Enterprise Edition framework.

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135).

When attempting to run Microsoft .Net based applications, you may get the following error on startup:
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)
The cause of this error is that the Microsoft .Net framework is not installed or is damaged in some way. Therefore applications will fail to launch.
To fix this error you can run Windows Update and find the Microsoft .Net framework update to install. Alternatively, you can download the Microsoft .Net Framework directly from Microsoft.

Error code 643

Try this for starters:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100/

Basically, it involves un-installing .NET Framework Version 1.1 Service pack
1.

Then download and use (Run as Administrator) the Windows Installer CleanUp
Utility, and remove all references to .NET Framework Version 1.1 Service
pack 1 (only!).

Then reinstall .NET Framework Version 1.1 Service pack 1:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai…

Then run Windows Update again, to install KB929729.

1. Before doing anything else, write down the .NET Framework versions which
are already installed:

How to determine which versions of the .NET Framework are installed and
whether service packs have been applied

2. Now see Resolution Method 2 in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100
(ignore the title). After running the appropriate/needed tool, (re)install
all .NET Framework versions manually using the download links on the page.

An unhandled exception has occured .......

An attempt was made in a program or script to use an object before creating the object. For example:

dim SomeObject as Object
SomeObject.attribute = "string value"

will generate thie error message because the SomeObject that is being referred to has not been created. For this, we need the New keyword:

dim SomeObject as New SomeObject
SomeObject.attribute = "string value"

will run without errors
