Anytime you're burning fuses, there's a short somewhere. Also check the cavity under the lint holder for accumulated lint or debris that might cause heat or a fire. Call a repairman to be on the safe side.

I would like to oil my elna 6003 but the manual does not show where to oil.

I'm pretty sure these have a wick in the rotary hook under the black plastic bobbin holder where the bobbin sits. Everything else is nylon gears or designed to be lubed during your annual recommended service by an Elna technician.

You can oil the wick yourself (don't do what I did and pull it out with tweezers, dooh). Take out the bobbin holder black bit (your manual should cover this in cleaning) and see if there is a depression/hole in the middle of the metal rotary hook. If so, just put a drop of oil in there once every couple of months.

More important is to clean out the rotary hook well regularly and everywhere else in there, just use the little brush to collect the lint, then wipe it off on a piece of cotton fabric waste to clean the brush, then clean a bit more until no lint remains. Now put the bobbin holder/case back into position lining up the marker point against the stopper. Done.

Hope this makes sense to you and matches what your machine looks like. Happy Sewing, Tally Girl

I CANNOT FIND THE LINT TRAY/HOLDER ON MY CANDY AQUAVIVA 1300 WASHER DRYER. I FIND THE DRYER GIVES THE CLOTHES A DAMP SMELL WHEN DRIED. IS THIS DUE TO LINT BUILD UP?

This is usually located either near the bottom front, possibly behind a plate, or inside the rim of the drum. Check the user manual.

How do you take the Lint Filter holder out of Dryer?

There should be a small trap door located on the top of your dryer. Open the trap door and pull out the filter cartridge. Carefully clean the screen and place back into the compartment.

I am trying to get the lint out of my Maytag electric dryer Model # MDE4000AYQ and need a way to remove the lint screen holder area in order to get down to the blower area to really clean the lint out.

Most dryers need to be somewhat unassembled to get to these types of areas. You may need to remove the front of the dryer to get to it.

Lint screen holder is full of lint

Yes, clean it out immediately. The lint screen should pull right out with no screws holding it. It should be cleaned every other load!

Lint Filter Light comes on and cycle is interupted

Depending on how old this is or how much it is used depends how much lint has built up inside
the air flow tube. I have seen where you look inside where the lint screen is and beneath it with screen removed there is nothing but lint, in which case the dryer thinks the screen is clogged. You might have two screws on the inside of the drum that hold the screen holder in place. First remove the lint screen
and hold the little door that closes when you remove the screen, open the little door and look down inside it with a flash light, if you see a lot of lint, like I said you might be able to remove the holder
and clean this area out, also take a coat hanger and bend a little piece at the end and use this to get most of the lint out of this area and the tube that Leeds down from this area. If this can be done
and you get this area clean and it still happens, you might have to clean the entire area the tube
and the back tube, the tube leeding to the outside of the house and vent. Any questions please post back.

LG dlg5988W Gas Dryer - flashing "clean filter" light

i got the same problem and no repair man could help . i think i just got mine fixed 6-15-09 .what you do is go behind the dryer , remove the air duct and then remove the pipe that is inside the machine by removing one screw . this will give you access inside the machine .first clean as much as you can of the lint inside by vacuuming it . if you look to the left you will see 2 wires with a black button in the middle this is the ignitor ,clean it good because i think the dirt is not allowing it to light up . i did that and mine is working but the cooling light is still on .

Remove lint holder on ge front loader dryer

I have the exact same problem. I am amazed at had been the engineering is for such a simple process. The user guide just says to clean the lint filter. Even when doing so, there is still an excessive build up of lint beyond reach. There are no instructions that mention how to clean this part. It is obvious that GE did not test this part of the machine.

How do I remove the lint trap holder to clean out the lint inside

The font panel must be removed. This may be done by removing the control console (open upper cabinet doors to find screws behind the console). The screws along the top of the lower front panel are easily accessible. Disconnect the two interlock switches, remove the grounding clip attached to the bulkhead & lift the panel off the two lower clips. Inside the panel is a housing that leads to the exhaust blower. It will be packed with lint that may be hardened like papier mache. Just clean out the mess & reverse the process to replace the parts.
