I have Armstrong hanging heater that I would like to install in my garage. I have 3" Type B pipe but the connection from the heater is only a 2" can I just slide the 3" over the 2" and call it good?

No. You need an adapter. Otherwise exhaust from the heater could build up in the gatage. Carbon monoxide is a colorless odorless gas that can kill you.

Furnace burners won't ignite

Assuming this is a gas furnace, when the thermostat calls for heat the pilot heats an igniter to produce voltage that opens the burner gas valve. In your furnace, the igniter may have failed and the burner can't fire up

Won't start can't even get it to fire got spark getting gas ,don't know.

Check the compression! It has to be around 120 and no less then 100 to fire off. If it is ok, Have your carb checked out. It should fire off with some spray.

Williams gas wall unit won't burn.

It's a burner control problem. It maybe a defect on some protective devices (pressure switch, fire detector, etc.), a blown fuse, or a board defect (busted DC supply transformer, relays, or electronic devices).

Waterheater does not ingnite.

Usually when a water heater won't ignite it is a bad thermal coupler. It is anywhere from about $10-29 part depending on your model. I do recommend that with anything natural gas or LPG fired you seek help from a certified technician. If you should cause an undetected gas leak it could result in fire and or death. Please be very careful with all mechanical repairs and hire a professional if you are the least bit uncertain or it is above your mechanical ability.
