This solution only works if you are running XP.

The easiest way to get this microscope up and running - is create a dual boot on your computer with a small windows 95 or 98 OS and use the software from the disk that came with it.

Next best - follow the above steps and create a dual boot with a XP OS on your Vista or Windows 7 machine. This works great on my old Dell laptop with XP Service Pack 2.

Today is June 20th 2011 and I am gonna make this thing work on my Vista and Win7 machines if I have to write the driver myself - or - rewrite the code on the origianal disk so it will recognixe xp, vista, w7 etc. I make a ton of money with this micrscope to highlight errors on old coins. You can email me northpolegallery@yahoo.com and find out where I am in this project.

My QX3 worked wonderfully on my XP system, but I can't load the drivers/installation files on a Vista system.

Sorry, Intel stopped making these years ago. They DID post updated drivers, but long before Vista arrived. Go to the Intel web site, your only other hope is to find a blog of Intel QX3 users, maybe some gearhead updated the driver pro bono.
