Question about Miele CVA 4066 Stainless Steel
After calling the Miele customer service they told us that the problem sounds like a clogged filter. He proceeded to us to soak the brewing unit in hot/warm water for and hour and then run a "clean brew unit" with the cleaning tab. We followed this, but nothing rinsed out of the machine during the clean, unlike how it did when we had run this before. We are in the process of soaking it again but aren't feeling too lucky. Anyone else have any suggestions?

your brew unit is clogged. It will need to be removed and cleaned every 24 hours as per the owners manual. There is a yellow laminated card in the box with the accessories that shows step by step how to perform the 24 hour maintenance. To prolong the life of the brew unit, make sure the coffee grind size lever is in the middle or to the right of center, rather than the left (fine) side. Also, you only want to use dry beans, preferably espresso beans. Oily beans like french roast will clog that brew unit up very quickly.

Hi, possible that there is WEARING OFF of the bushes in the shaft of the grinder jar section or to the motor section. If you can try to hold the spindle and move , there must not be any play of the shaft nor it must be TOO free. If so the bushes must be reset with the same type. Also check if the motor bush/bearings are faulty or a drop of light grease or oil might give a temporary relief.
Or else you have to get a another one....

Try running the maintenance on the sysetm:
Tap until "Maintenance" is highlighted, confirm with OK.
^ Select "Rinse the system", confirm with OK.
^ Select "Start", confirm with OK.
When the main menu reappears in the display, the lines have been rinsed. The appliance can now be turned off.
Do you have the manual for your unit? You really need to clean the dispenser unit which requires a little disassembly, and the manual really explains this well. If you don't, I can send it to you if you provide me your email address.
