Loud humming or buzzing only when it spins at high speeds

This noise causes by the drum bearing is getting worse. As soon as the noise is getting far louder and extremely louder then you have to replace the bearing of the outer drum. Normally, the repair cost is as high as buying a good deal new washer.

Sub zero. 650 reefer. Significant hum coming from top mounted compressor, but still marginal cooling. Now a louder hum and unit no longer cooling.

Hi roger,

I see you concern, and if the unit does not cool anymore and there is a humming noise then you will need to replace or have your compressor repaired no doubt.

Have a nice day,

Fridre is about 9 years old. For the last couple of weeks it's been making louder than normal humming noises and the temp is not cold, even when the thermostat is at it's coldest, same with the bottom...

the wind tunnel in the frezzer is iced up, therefore the fan is rubbing against the ice creating humming noise. solve this by defrosting and replace fridge seals before u get sick and die! food poision is bad. termostat should work, but may need be replaced.

Motor running a lot

9360gabbs,  The significant thing that you list is... it is louder than usual.  You indicate that you have cleaned the coils under refrigerator.  Try and roll the refrigerator out from its normal location so you can get behind it.  Remove the cardboard or metal cover across the bottom area of the refrigerator.  Check and see that the fan next to the compressor is running and that the blades are clean from dust, etc. Sometimes the condenser fan dies and must be replaced sometimes the blades are covered in dust, etc and causes a decreased volume of air to be moved by the fan.  Make sure the entire area is clean from dust, etc.  Be sure to replace the rear cover that was removed.  Very important!  Hopes this helps you! Here's my thoughts:

Make sure it is level.

Could be some things inside the fridge vibrating against each other.
