I would check fusable link on power supply 12 volt DC from battery voltage. if compression springs loose inside link, possible that bumps are causing loss of contact causing power down, then when the reconnect, you get reboot, check entire power supply line from point of power connection to unit.

Everytime i turn my volume up too 17 the entire system would shut off

Had the same problem. Timer light would blink and system would shut off. It turned out to be the speaker wires going to one speaker were touching each other. The wire had become pinched and it made a bare spot where the wires made a little contact with each other. I cut the wires and spliced them back together and have not had any problems since.

My ascer aspire 3680 has windows xp on it. I had

go to advanced option by tapping f8 while starting the computer, go to disabled automatic restart, now this time onwards if it crash again it will tell u the err , then u can talk abt the resolution. by the time u can do a system restore.
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore.
2.
On the Welcome screen, click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.
3.
On the Select a Restore Point page, select the date from the calendar that shows the point you'd like to restore to, as shown in Figure 2, and then click Next.

Figure 2
4.
On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, verify that the correct restore point is chosen, and then close any open programs.
5.
Click Next if you are ready to proceed or click Back to change the restore point.
6.
The computer will shut down automatically and reboot. On reboot, you'll see the Restoration Complete page, and then click OK.

After reviewing the stability of your system, you can choose another restore point or undo this restoration. Just open System Restore and make the appropriate choice. After you use System Restore, you'll have an additional task, Undo my last restoration, on the System Restore Welcome page. Remember that you'll have to reinstall any programs that were installed after the restore point.
If System Restore doesn't work in Normal Mode, it might work in Safe Mode. To use System Restore in Safe Mode, press the F8 key during reboot and choose Safe Mode. When your computer starts in either Safe Mode or Normal Mode, System Restore can be used to capture a working previous state. System Restore can't be opened unless the system is bootable into one of these modes.

Power light on and beeping and no picture acer aspire t180

If your computer beeps when you turn it on you have a problem with your power supply, system board, graphics/video card or keyboard.
Reboot your system with out the keyboard if it no longer beeps your problem is a couple of stuck keys on the keyboard.
If the beeping continues remove your graphics card and reboot your system.
If your pc still beeps the it is either your power supply or the system board.

How do I reboot vista laptop in order to remove radial point

a reboot is always a last resort!!! a better option to remove a program is to access control manager by pressing ctrl, atl, delete at the same time. when the prompt window is opened look through both processes and services tabs for anything related to the program hit stop process then just go to start>control panel>add/remove program. if that doesnt work restart your computer in safe-mode. if its a vista hit the power button let it rest for a sec then restart it. since the computer was improperly shut down it will ask if you want to start windows normally. don't instead choose start in safe-mode when it starts everything related to radial point will be shut down making it easy to remove the program through control panel. if you still whish to reboot shut down your computer by opening the start menu and in the lower right corner select restart. when the comp. restarts and the logo appears hit f8 quickly (you only have about 5 seconds before it restarts normally) choose boot with disk insert your start up disk and the computer will restart and all non-default programs will be lost. radial point will finally be defeated but at what cause? at what cause!!!??

Ab out a week ago my laptop started taking 3-4 minutes to shut off. it does it everytime i turn it off. what can be donr to fix this. very annoying. Thanks, george

Before a computer shuts down it has to shut down all of the programs runnning. If you have added lots of software overtime then it takes longer. Also, next time you turn it on do a Ctrl-Alt-Delete and click Applications. Take a look at all of the processes running, the very large files are the ones taking the longest. You can google the file name. If you don't need it you can disable it, this will make it easier for it to shut down. Good luck.

I did a windows update, now i have a computer key board showing up on screen when i boot up and my mouse dosent work any longer how can i get back to the way things were

Try a hard boot,,(shut down the power to your computer) and then reboot,,,as the PC reboots press the F8 key and choose safe start.
when you are into safe start, then choose "start","programs',"accessories",,"system tools",,,"system restore" then choose a retore date from before the updates where installed,,,and continue.
If you have restore points already set on your computer,,then your computer will want to re-boot and then restore to an earlier time.
