Calculates correctly, but prints completely different numbers than what's on the screen. Also, on a different calculator of the same version, I can't get the red ink to work when using doing a subtraction calc and it prints black dots all over my paper.

Hi,

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: ink problem

It has a little ink roller under the plastic on the right side as you are looking at it. It is made of black plastic and pulls straight up to come out

SOURCE: Replacing inking roller/ribbon?

i had a problem with this as well and found a user manual online. I thought the whole thing came out but it doesn't. If you pull up on the little red thing on right and then the black one on the right you have it. Imagine that! That's all that you change. Then just put some new ones in and your good to go.

SOURCE: how to calculate

It's very simple: the calculators have a default base 10 so that log x it's log x base 10 so here is some logs:

log x base y = log x / log y

log (x*y) = log x + log y

log (x/y) = log x - log y

Hope it's helped

SOURCE: how do i perform the calculation of log (base 2)

Yes look you can't enter the base in calculators it's default 10 so use:

log x base y = log x / log y

log (x*y) = log x + log y

log (x/y) = log x - log y

so instead of log 8 base 2 input log 8 / log 2 it's easy

hope you understand :)

That's something we can't tell you, Paige, until you tell us exactly what calculation you're using to draw on the screen. You can't just throw numbers at it in hopes of drawing something, its purpose is to show you what a calculation looks like graphically so you can better visualize your results or predict the results of a subsequent calculation. It's not built to be a toy, it's built to be a working tool.

The manual for the Canon P1-DHV is online at http://www.usa.canon.com/app/pdf/calculator/P1-DHV_G_USA_HWB.pdf>.

When the display shows "5/4", the calculator is doing 5/4 rounding which means: 5 or above round up, 4 or below round down. To control rounding press the "5/4" key.

When the display shows "E" the calculator could not complete a calculation. It can be because of dividing by 0, or because the total exceeded 1 trillion, or because the operator entered calculations faster than the calculator could complete them. Press the CI/C key to clear it.

I can't explain why you are not getting a total on the tape. Try the following example from the manual exactly as shown, and let me know if your tape shows the total.

Sounds like you could have $100.00 in your memory. The LCD will show your current calculation but the print out might include anything you added to M+/-. Try clearing your M*

unfortunately the printer is out of time or the selector pawls got bent. would be cheaper to buy a new one than fix this.

I bet your display is showing the correct ans, however your printer is printing incorrectly. Settings have nothing to do with your ans. You need your printer to be cleaned or have the printer replaced with a rebuilt unit. I can do this... 608-222-2484...

First, check the batteries, and ensure there is not a paper jam in the printer.

If both are fine, then while the calculator is in the "Print" mode, press the [CA] (or [AC]) button 20 times consecutively to clear out memory buffers. Try some numerical calculations, and if the problem persists, repeat pressing the [CA] button 20 times.

If the problem still persists, then the calculator may require service. http://www.casio.com/support/techsupport/AABF4C3A-D2EF-4BF5-B349-48459AF35FF0

To print the current date press once the Clock/Calendar key and then press once the Non Add/ Subtotal key (# key)

To print out any other date (or codes and other numbers that are not part of a calculation) just type it and then press the Non Add/ Subtotal key (# key). The date/number will be printed preceded by the # sign.

Hello,

Here are the possible causes for such an error

1. calculation results exceeds calculation range.

2. Calculation is outside the input range of a function

3. Illogical operation (division by zero, etc.

4. Poor precision in**sigma calculation results**,

For all these reasons

Check the input numeric values and correct them . If you are using memory, check that the numeric values stored in memory are correct.

Hope it helps

the problem is with the printer. try to examine if the printer head is on the right side. the default must be on the right side. if you can't move the printer head towards the right it means it got stuck up. if you will look inside it you will see a 'rail like' object on the bottom of the printer you can push it down with any pointed object for the pinter head to get back to its original position. if this doesn't solve the problem look for the nearest service center coz the printer needs an alignment.

Equals is used during a calculation of division, percentage, multiplication, etc. Use the total key or * key for a total of substraction or addition.
