THE ROUTER WORKS for my cpu with an ethernet cable but my ipod dosent pick up the wi-fi and niether does my wii what can the problem be??pls help

You will have to make sure that the wireless option is tuned on by logging into router (your user manual will let you know how to do this). Also make sure that the wireless network is discoverable. Once this is confirmed then you can test with your other devices to see if they pickup the wireless network.

Remember to secure your network so others cannot use it.

Please rate if this helps

Need the wireless configuration pass pharse

If you have never used the "wireless" capability of your router, then there won't be a pass-phrase.

Instead, you need to run the "wireless networking setup wizard" to configure the router:
* pick an SSID (the 'name' you want to use for your network)
* select an encryption-level (hint: use 'WPA')
* pick a password for your network.

Hi there, where could I get a setup cd for netgear WGR614 router?

You don't really need the CD.
Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to one of the LAN ports on the router.
Connect from your web-browser to the web-server "inside" the router.
If it asks for ID or for password, try a "blank", or try 'admin'.
Once connected, you can run a "Wizard" to configure your wireless network, i.e., pick an SSID, and pick a password or pass-phrase, and enable encryption.

Have a new desk top bought the wireless-g usb adapter wg111 to pick up my netgear range max wireless router wpn824v3. After installing the wireless-G picked up internet once but after the system was shut...

I have the WPN824v3 and it can be balky finding and connecting to a network sometimes. It works best (and gets the best range) using the Netgear RangeMax Wireless USB 2.0 adapter (WPN111). The router and this adapter are (according to Netgear) specifically designed to work with each other, thereby maximizing both the range and the speed of the router.

PS3 and Netgear WGR614 V7 Router

Basically the PS3 wireless settings needs to be configures with the Netgear wireless router settings.
To test if the modem is connects to the Internet, connect a computer into the modem, if it works then the modem is configured correctly. If it doesn't work, then contact your ISP and get them to test your modem connection.
For details on how to configure the PS3 click on the WEB link :-

Can no longer pick up router signal

Does the wireless light still lit on the router? You can try changing the channel on the router (1 6 or 11) ans moving the antenna. If those things did not work upgrade the firmware of the router and reset to factory default. Do not forget to save the configuration file before you reset to factory default.

PC works fine with Linksys USB card, but laptop's NetGear won't.

It looks like you are either using TKIP or AES just put the wireless to use MIXED and it will solve your problem.

Netgear wgr614uk wep code

If you are the origional owner of the router, then you had set the WEP key, which is a password meant to prevent others from stealing your internet. If you still cant do it, Go to your routers configuration and restore it to factory settings. Then you can set your own WEP Tkip style passcode and connect the Wii wirelessly and correctly. For further help, just ask me.
