You might have to take the panel off that's around the radio check for screws towards the bottom where the cigarrette lighter would be in most cars the radio is probably screwed into that metal part that you'll have to unscrew and pull out there will also be wires connected to the back of it those just pop out

On the power wire to your radio is an inline fuse. Have you checked that?

Yu3f-18c868-ba serial number on a mercury cougar 2000. We need the security code to reset the radio and the instructions.

Call your local Mercury or Ford dealer parts department and they will provide you the security unlock code over the phone. Also try looking in the glove box for the original radio code decal, it might still be in there or look in the owners manual for the stereo code written down in the front or back of the book.

1993 mercury cougar radio blows when insalled pleeeeze help

Some vehicles will not support aftermarket radios. The original radio wiring supports some functions of the vehicle, example being an alarm, interior lights, etc. It is possible one of the circuits has a blown fuse, and the radio is not compatible with your car.

Speakers went out

First, hotwire any working speaker to one that is out...If that speaker works, then replace the bad one. If the known good one does not work, you need to check wiring and radio itself.
