Clothes and sheets come out wrinkled and twisted

I have a year old Duet Sport front loading washer and dryer. The clothes and sheets come out wrinkled and twisted. I've tried Bounce fabric softener sheets and dryer "balls". Nothing seems to help. Do you have any suggestions?

When I wash my dress shirts together the sleeves get all twisted up and wrinkled into a knot; difficult to seperate but necessary when I need to put them into the dryer.  The same thing happens when I wash my jeans -- they get all twisted together.  How do I prevent this from happening. It's driving me crazy.  I'm very unhappy with this outcome because often these wrinkles don't come out even after they come out of the dryer.  Please help.  Ron

Try not to wash large items with small items the large items like sheet will twist around the small item. causeing twisting and wrinkling. Also If you are overloading the clothes or underloading the clothes they will come out wrinkled. I would try to do some testing wash a load of only towels then wash a load of only t-shirts and other light weight items that you may have. Then do just a load of your jeans. What happens? Please let me know

Get the shets and things out right after the cool down cycle is done. As far as sheets are concerned, you should try drawstring sheets. the drawstring bypasses all the wrinkle concerns since the sheet is tightened as flat as you need to eliminate wrinkles.

No lint on filter? Where is it all going? Checked exhaust vent bought a vacuum attachment and there is no lint. Twice and sometimes triple the drying time! Help!

Instructions
  1. Dryer Does Not Run
    • 1 Close the door firmly. The dryer will not operate if the door is not completely closed.
    • 2 Press the "Start" button firmly or push the knob in to start the dryer.
    • 3 Turn the dial past the "Off" position and away from "Wrinkle Prevent." The dryer will not start in the "Off" or "Wrinkle Prevent" position.
    Long Drying Times
    • 4 Remove the lint screen. Clean it and replace it.
    • 5 Check the temperature of the room. The dryer will not operate properly in temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • 6 Inspect the area around the dryer. It requires at least 1-inch clearance on the front and sides of the dryer. A 5-inch clearance is needed on the back of the dryer. Move the dryer, if needed.
    • 7 Separate large loads and do not use an air dry cycle.
    Lint, Stains and Wrinkles
    • 8 Clean the lint screen before drying each load of clothes to prevent lint buildup on clothing.
    • 9 Add fabric softener sheets before starting a drying cycle. If the sheets are added after the load has partially dried, they can leave stains on the clothing.
    • 10 Dry small loads and remove clothing as soon as the drying cycle completes to prevent wrinkling.
    Dryer is Noisy
    • 11 Check the inside of the dryer for loose change, buttons or other items. Empty the pockets on clothing before drying.
    • 12 Separate items that are knotted together and restart the load. Knotted or balled up clothing will bounce and make the dryer vibrate.
    • 13 Level the dryer. Turn the leveling legs on the front of the dryer clockwise or counter-clockwise until the dryer is level. Turning the legs clockwise will lower the dryer. Turning the legs counter-clockwise will raise the dryer.

How do i use the dryer

my dear

Clean the lint filter or screen before each load.
Inspect washed items before placing them in the dryer. The dryer's heat will set in stains that have not been removed.
Shake each garment before transferring it from the washer to the dryer.
Choose a dryer cycle. Opt for the regular cycle if most of the load is all-cotton fabrics, or set it on permanent-press cycle if the load consists mostly of synthetic or permanent-press fabrics (a cool-down period prevents wrinkling).
Add a fabric softener sheet,
Remove the clothes once they're dry and hang them immediately...

Which is better for the dryer and why, dryer sheets or fabric softener in the wash?

Liquid in the washer is better since sheets in the dryer are prone to leaving stains (read back of package about stain warning on every box of softener sheets i have ever seen) also the sheets leave a build up on the thermostats and moisture sensor

While the liquid in the washer softens the clothes and has no build up or staining issues such as the sheets

Since you stated you are already using fabric softener, it sounds like you are over-drying your laundry. Try reducing the dry time and hang your clothes immediately.

Oil on clothes front loading kenmore washing machine 7 years old

Oil cannot get on clothes from a front loader . It's probably the liquid fabric softener you are using . Either try a different brand , use dryer sheets instead , or make sure the water temperature is correct for the softner . Also check the front drum seal , for built up , undisolved softner , collecting " gunk " which may be getting on the clothes .

The washing detergent doesn't wash out of the clothes it leaves marks on the fabric. what is wrong?

Too many clothes in the load , reduce by 25%

Switch to an old fashioned soap powder that has more agents in it to help it dissolve

Wrinkles!!!!!!!!

This is a frequent complaint with the following known  solutions:
  • You might be drying them too long. back the time down so that the cool down cycle happens right as the clothes are dried.
  • Try smaller loads.
  • You should dry heavy fabrics and light fabrics separately.
  • Fabric softener in the washer may help to prevent wrinkles from forming in the dryer.
