You csn try to use the hum or EAC terminal on the board as a temporary fix, these terminals provide 120 volts.

Verify if you have 120 volts from the control board. Easy way to check is to bypass the board, you can do this by using a small wire and jump the L1 wire with the low speed motor wire, if the motor starts up the board is bad and will need to be replaced. You can also use a meter and check voltage between the low speed motor wire and the Common wire which is typically white in color. If you do not have voltage the board is bad.

    Where is the L1 wire?

  • Robert Nov 28, 2012

It is the wire coming from the door switch on the Furnace to the control board terminal labeled line or L1

  • roderrick roberts Nov 28, 2012

I tryed that and it didn't work

  • Robert Nov 28, 2012

Did you make sure the dorr switch was pressed in?

  • roderrick roberts Nov 28, 2012

Yea it just turned on the furance the blower fan didn't turn

  • Robert Nov 28, 2012

It should not turn on the furnace at all, all we are doing is providing power directly to the motor, so either the motor starts or nothing turns on.

  • Robert Nov 28, 2012

If you tske the L1 wire off the board and jump it with the motor wire there is no power to turn the Furnace onon

SOURCE: Goodman furnace GMPN080-4 Getting 4 RED blinks/Open Limit Swtch

You have a limit switch located in the furnace (a little bigger than a dime and located near the center of the front panel, sometimes the switch is mounted to a small fiberglass board) . There will be two wires going to it. They sometimes trip so often that they fail to automatically reset(due to dirty filters or undersized ductwork). You can SHUT OFF POWER TO THE FURNACE, then remove the two screws holding the switch in the furnace, pull the switch out of the furnace and tap on it and wipe it off.
The switch may work a few more times but should be replaced with the same size and type. You will see some rating printed on the switch somewhere. Write down all the numbers and get a replacemet from a furnace/AC supply house. If you have a meter and know how to use it you could check the switch for continuity.

Sometimes just a tap on the switch will get it going. There will also be a couple of rollout switches that could be tripped. They have little buttons on them to reset them. If they trip it may have other issues to be solved.
Hope this helps!
Matt

SOURCE: hi i have an goodman capf036a2a furnace and when i cut on the heat the burner light but the blower motor doesnt turn its makes a humming noise and the code it reads is #33 roller blowout. do i need t

Since the motor is humming we know it is recieving voltage, try spinning the blower wheel by hand and see if the motor starts up, if it does the capacitor needs to be replaced, if not the blower motor needs to be replaced.

Check capacitor, cheap replacement and easy to do, also spin blower wheel by hand to see if it moves freely. If so could be Cap. U can also try canding blower speeds to see if one of the speeds burnt out. Warranty??

Need your model # to check the codes but, this coming back on after turning the t-stat off is rare. You may have been in a lockout and the furnace re-started. Some furnaces try to start three times , then lock out. Time out, then re-start. The codes should be on your furnace blower door. Write back with this info and i could help.

I would first eliminate one furnace from the equation, the exterior wood furnace... turn its tstat down. Will the gas furnace then operate normally? Can you run the blower manually, as in summer mode? Make sure your filters are clean also... that can sometimes overload the blower.
