No, Really. I have 16 ports. And two labeled expansion in/out. Really where does the net in cable go?

I know the ports are in the back. I'm not stupid. I cant seem to find an input port. I have 16 ports + expansion in and out ports. Which port should I use for the incoming port? Thanks for reading the question. Thanks for you r help.

The Expansion IN port. The OUT port is for adding another hub. The key word being stackable, in case you need more than 16 ports. Hope this clears thing up.

How to connect also sonet zfs3116 to my home system

can't find manual for it but it says it's a 16 port. If all 16 ports are labeled identically, just use a standard ethernet cable (i.e. patch cable) from the switch to your router. If there's one port that is a different color or labeled uplink or labeled 'wan' plug that into your router. Then plug all your other devices into the other ports.

I'm assuming you have a router. If not get one. You should not be connected to the internet without a router.

What is this card in my GT5694 in the PCI Express slot?

Sounds like a LAN card, you know internet, should have a port that looks like a phone line or RJ-45, which is a cable line for internet.

Onboard and cards for a LAN, have these lights, the link is for internet activity.

There is nothing needed in a PCI slot to run a PC, the only thing would be a graph card, and that is easy to tell because it has a graph plug or your monitor is plugged into it. A VGA port.

Besides this, no. But it is not slowing down the PC, or hurting anything.

Do not touch it or remove it unless you power down, unplug the power, hit the power button twice and make sure the PC lights don't flash.

Then touch metal just before you try and remove the card.

Which port to place network in put

If it is a hub then you can plug any device into any port. It doesn't matter which. All a hub does is broadcast data received on anymore out all the other ports at half duplex speeds. I'd recommend getting a switch instead. Same price and they don't suffer from all weaknesses a hub has.

Need to know how to connect to tv it comes on but in black and white

If you're using composite video cables (red/white/yellow) but your TV doesn't have a yellow jack to plug into, plug the yellow cable into the green "Y" plug instead. If there is more than one set of video jacks on your TV, make sure you're using the first set, usually labeled "Video 1" or "Component 1". If it still comes up in black and white after all that, you may need to look in your TV's settings menu to see if there's an option to change the settings for that port from Component to Composite.

If you're using component video cables (red/white & red/blue/green) make sure the cables are all plugged in to the proper color-coded ports on the TV. Mixing up the video cables can cause the image to show up in black and white

Where do I hook up the red, yellow, and white chords to the tv for my wii console to work?

The yellow is video, and the red and white are for audio. All of the ports on your TV are labeled in some fashion or another. Start with the video. You're looking for an "in" port. It will say something like "Video In" or "RCA In" or "Component In". It doesn't really matter how it's labeled, just look for a yellow port marked "in".

You'll then do the same for your audio. Find a red and white port that are right next to each other, and labeled "in". Once they're all plugged into the "in" ports, you'll have to switch your TV to the correct input. It should be something along the lines of "AUX 1" or "RCA 1" or "Video 1", something of that nature. The way you'll know for sure is to make sure your yellow plug is in the yellow "in" port, ensure your Wii is turned on, then keep switching your TV's inputs until you see your Wii's menu.

I need to lock my router from others using my wifi

    • 1 Disconnect the power cord from your high-speed modem. Locate the Ethernet port on the back of your modem. If an Ethernet cable is already plugged in, trace the cable to the second device and unplug the cable from it; otherwise, plug one end of an Ethernet cable to the open Ethernet port on your modem.
    • 2 Plug the unused end of the Ethernet cable to the port on the back of the router labeled "modem." Plug a second Ethernet cable into one of the open ports located above the "modem" port; connect this cable to the Ethernet port on your computer.
    • 3 Reconnect the power cord to your modem; wait for the lights on the front panel to turn green before proceeding. Plug one end of the router's power cord into the corresponding port on the back of the device; plug the remaining end into any available electrical outlet.
    • 4 Turn on your computer and log into your operating system as normal. Insert the installation CD into the computer; the installation application should load automatically (if it doesn't, you can find the application by manually browsing the CD's contents).
    • 5 Follow the onscreen instructions; after you have made the initial configurations, click on the option labeled "Security Assistant" on the left side of the installer window. Select the desired security type for your wireless network and click on the button labeled "Next."
    • 6 Choose a network key and enter it into the appropriate field; press "Next" and follow the onscreen instructions.
    • 7 Open your computer's wireless network settings and enter the wireless network name, security type and network key into the appropriate fields. Save your changes. Set-up is now complete.
Tips & Warnings
  • You can access additional settings via the modem's manual configuration interface. Open your web browser and navigate to 192.168.2.1; when prompted for a password, leave the field blank, and click on the button labeled "Submit."For optimal signal strength, choose a location for your router that will be near your computer, with as few walls and other obstacles as possible.

The volume doesn't turn up on my sony

on my harmon kardon there are 2 RCA pre-amp ports. if you're not using an external amp then you need 2 really short RCA cables to connect the pre-amp ports to the RCA 'in' ports next to them. In essence the built-in amp isn't hooked up from the factory-you need to 'jump' it with 2 RCA cables. and no, my $350 harmon receiver didn't come with those little jumpers but it did come with a pair of 3 foot RCA cables that I had to ravel up with a twist tie to keep out of the way of all my other wires. hope this is similar to your issue. also make sure the speaker buttons are selected appropriately. just take some time to read EVERY label on the back of your receiver-there's a lot to read in the owner's manual and there may be something you simply overlooked or forgot about.

you can get s-video to scart connections;and if youve no scart you can connect s-video to phono....thats ur red, yellow n white audio / video plugs.yellow=video...white/red=left/right audio.
if you download a service manual it shows the pinout for s-video connections making it able to connect phono's.you only need the yellow and either red or white cos pc only outputs mono to tv.
there are also wireless systems you can get though never tried them.
you could also connect to another monitor, just plug the monitor into the back of pc(ext)only go into on place one way so no prob there.if no picture on ext monitor u need to switch screens
(alt+f 4)usually.press together once switches to ext mon, press together again enables both screens, and again returns to pc.
