How do I set a ignition point own a 1965 dodge polara 383 engine

Find the gap measurement.
Remove the distributor cap.
Remove the rotor arm, (the black and brass thing under the distributor cap.
CRANK THE ENGINE SO THAT THE LOBE OF THE DISTRIBUTOR SHAFT HAS PUSHED THE POINTS OPEN TO THEIR WIDEST GAP,.
The feeler guage should be pushed between the contacts, it should go in perpendicular , i.e. the nose of the feeler blades should go in like the point of a knife.
There should be a light drag on the feeler blades if, that is, they are set correctly.

So, if the gap is 30 thousandths the blade or combination of blades should amount to 30 thousandths. The blade values should be marked on them.
If the gap is too wide the blades will have no drag on them, indeed they might not in contact with both contacts.
Or the blades might not go in because the gap between the 2 contacts is too small, in this case there will be a lot of drad on the feeler guage blades.
If either of these is the case release the screw that secures the contact to the base of the distributor and whilst maintaining the required gap tighten the screw and re-measure the gap.
When you have satisfied yourself that you have the correct gap refit the rotor arm ensuring that it is fully pushed home.
refit the distributor cap ensuring that the clips are properly secured.
Turn the key.
I should mention that the screw should be well tightened to stop the contact points from slipping.
This is a fairly straightforward job

Good Luck

How do I level the deck on a John Deere X500 mower

FInd and buy a deck level guage (makes it so much easier) photo.25191349-sc2hyhwnmj3wm0xvqhiyjoyo-1-0_0.jpgAdjust the front tire pressures to 14 psi. Set the rear tires to 10 psi. Make sure that the mower is on level ground, concrete driveway or garage floor. Set you deck height knob to 2.5 inches. Move the blades to where the blade tips are pointing to the side of the mower deck. Level the deck side to side by adjusting the lift link nuts,15mm or 17mm wrench. Get the side to side as level and possible and close to a number or mark on the guage. Move the blade tips to the front of the mower deck. Check the front to back and have a 1/8" to 1/4" lower on the front of the blades than the back. 18mm and 19mm wrenches for the front adjusting bracket.

Delta shopmaster. . How do i instal blade guard on Delta shopmaster?

To adjust the blade guides , you have to loosen the lock nut ( it's normal on the upper part of the guide kit, outside part). Move the guide carrrier until both bearings are approximately 1/16" behind the gullets of the blade. Release the adjusting screws to set both bearing guides to within 1/32" of saw blade by turning the micro-adjusting knob. You can then lock the bearing guide in position once the correct adjustment is reached. This works on 14" band saw. This is an instruction from the manual.

Bosch 71/4 wormdrive keeps flipping breaker

If the saw is tripping breakers, either you are trying to run the saw on a circuit that can't handle the amps the saw needs to run or something is wrong with the saw that is making it draw more amps than it should.
Power supply: You should be on a 15 amp circuit or higher for this saw. Popping breakers can also be caused by using long or low guage extension cords or a low guage power cord on the saw. The saw should have a 14 guage power cord on it and extension cords should not be lower than 12 guage if 50 feet long.
Saw: You've already replaced the cord & switch, if the brushes are OK, look to the mechanics of the saw. The blade should turn freely and smoothly by hand with the saw unplugged. Things to look for are a lack of lubrication in the transmission, binding or broken gears in the trans and binding or seized bearings on the armature or worm gear set. Also, a dull blade forced through wood will also cause the saw to be overworked and draw enough power to trip breakers.

Delta 28-160 band saw 3 wheel, blade keeps coming off

Sounds like your tracking screw needs adjustment, located right beside the knob used for tightening after adjusting the tension on the blade. Allen wrench required. Turning right pushes out and turning left pulls it in. A little is a lot when adjusting this screw. Always turn the blade in the same direction as the cut while adjusting.

Cannot locate fuse box to power the windows-1994 camry

The power window system uses 2 fuses, one main 30A "Power" fuse which is a large block type fuse found on the outer side of the steering column behind the dash in a large junction block, set on this block away from the main fuse group. The second one is a 10A "Guage" fuse which is a smaller blade type fuse found in the same location on the same junction block, but in the cluster of blade fuses on that block.
