Hi! Somewhere, either on the header or footer of the FAX or on the Cover sheet should be listed the name or company of the sender, his/her phone number, the computer id, the time and date and the fax number. If you received a FAX where all of this information is missing, it may be from a scammer. There should be some sort of ID. Look carefully at the top and bottom of each page. Hope this helps.

i received a fax and at the top its got the persons fax number but thats it no other information about were it came from or who it came from .... but thank you for your help :P

Do you recognize this fax number? If not and you didn't ask someone to send you a FAX recently, I would keep it and if any more come there may be a setting where you can block faxes from that phone number. You can look up the phone's area code online and that may give you a clue as well.

oh okay ,thank you for your help :D

  • Kathleen Golden Nov 29, 2012

You can look up the fax number online or else look up the area code to get a clue as to where it came from. If you don't recognize the sender you can choose to either keep the fax and see if he/she sends any more or else trash it.

SOURCE: I need the instruction to

There is not much to do than to set the machine in the fax mode after setting up the time and data as instructed on the interactive menu .
You need to type the STD code of cambodia and the number of the fax there which must also be active. Make sure that you enter the correct local code if the number is in sub-district.
Ask your friend to send the fax after placing your machine in fax mode.
Make sure there is dial tone and you are able to make calls using the telephone mode.
if not check the connection.

Not sure if faxes have been sent successfully how can i tell?

I am not technically qualified for faxes but most fax machines i have used have a setting that allows you to have a receipt that prints off after you have sent one, this is something that can be turned off if not wanted, look in the manual and it will tell you how to reset it, i think it was called "polling" after a fax has been sent it prints off this little bit that says what time it was sent how many copies and time received, fax number it was sent to and sometimes company name etc some machines i have seen and used have a poll button after you have sent your fax, try just pressing it, it may print out a conformation receipt of the last ten faxes sent hope i have helped, if so rate me please
