Take sm. bowl and mix dish soap and water real bubbly, turn on gas, take sm. paint brush and paint soapy solution on all heater joints that contain gas and watch for bubbling bubbles, and thats where your leak is,but don't stop with the 1st leak you find, there may be more..check all joints, start with house plumbing then factory heater piping,,once all found ,mark them as you find them...then shut off gas and reseal and or retighten leaky joints....

SOURCE: fumes

One of two things, a high heat limit control or the flame sensor, also check your air line that runs to the heater nozzle could be cracked, not enoughair to fuel mix will make it burn dirty.

SOURCE: heater produces bad smell and fumes that make our eyes burn

Hi I hope I can help you with your heater. I own 3 of them. Once you light your heater, give it time to completely light around the ring. Once it does, adjust your burner so the flames are evenly around the ring. Make sure you are using 1K kerosene too. That makes a big difference in the use of your heater. If I can help you any other way please feel free to contact me.

Strong fumes from new frigidaire gas oven.what should i look for

If it smells like gas Shut the gas off outside call installer, or
gas company. If it doesn't smell like gas, most likely it's the "new smell" caused by the heat. If you have a kitchen vent fan turn it on. If it persists Call the installer or dealer. No action by them? call the mfg customer service number in your owner's manual. It's possible something was left in the oven burner area that shouldn't be there.

When the dryer in on I smell fumes. The flex hose was removed and there is nothing in it. The fumes do not smell like gas fumes such as from a gas leak It is an older Kenmore dryer that woeks fine.

Did you recently do some painting or varnishing in the house? These and home perms will mix with the burner and leave an awful smell behind.

You might have a slight odor of gas when the burner first ignites. Some gas does escape before it completely ignites. It shouldn't smell after 2 years of use. If you can see the pilot flame burning from the top of the heater, the heater pilot assembly is pushed over too far. The pilot fumes could be escaping in the room and cause a smell.

On a standing pilot, coleman gas furnace, when burner fires, the flame burns wildly on high burn. Could this be because the air adjusment is set incorrectly? In a short time it blows out the burner, and...

HEY J, this could be a dangerous situation. You could have a crack or rusted out heat exchanger, if this unit is over 20 years old, which it is because it a standing pilot, units are obsolite! This could be letting in CO2 ( carbondioxides-- poision gas fumes) n, Oklahoma, our gas co. will come out for free to give our units a CO2 gas fume check anaylsis. Check this out before someone dies or ill repairable damage done to the body! Thank-you-very-much!
