SOURCE: Bose SoundDock will no longer

My guess is that the iPod connector in the Sounddock is loose or damaged. You can get a new connector and solder it on yourself (very difficult!) or you could get a replacement PCB at http://www.chargeconverter.com/store/index.php?route=product/category&path=37 which is quite easy to replace (see http://ridax.wordpress.com for description).

I have a Hype power stick 2200Mph and the cord won't fit in my iPhone 5c do I have to use another cord I thought it worked with my iPhone because that's the cord that came with stick

Remember that Apple changed the cable that them devices uses. Since iPhone 5, the apple devices uses the lightning cord. As you say, the hype power stick 2200Mph cord is the old cable of 30-pin. You'll need an adapter or maybe another cord.

Here you have an adapter certified by apple:

Change dock connector

Though I'm not sure, I think what you are asking is how to use an iPhone 5s on an older iPhone docking station. If so, my recommendation is to buy and a 30 pin to 8 pin adapter. Here is an example:
http://phonepartsusa.com/adapter-30-pin-to-8-piniphone-5-ipad-4-ad?language=en₪cy=USD&gclid=CJbTm_u188MCFUZhfgodt2wA9Q

Apple sells one as well called a Lightning to 30-pin Adapter for about $30. Here is that link: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter

It all depends on the form factor of your dock and whether the added size of the adapter will still allow your phone to sit on the dock. There may be some smaller, slimmer ones. If the phone doesn't fit on the dock with the adapter in place, you could also buy a iPhone 5s extension cable and just cable your phone to the dock and adapter.

I own an iPod (30 pin port) and am trying to find a 30pin to lightning adaptor to be able to connect it to a new ihome sound system with a lightning port. Any suggestions?

I buy all of my cell accessories/adapters like this on ebay. They're usually very cheap and ship directly from China. I've gotten some that don't work, but they usually send a replacement.

They're almost always under $5 including shipping.

I have a new docking stationbut am unable to connect it to my old apple ipod canyou help please

Probably your new docking station is equipped with the new Lightning connector used by iPhones and iPads instead of the 30-pin connector used by old and newer iPods. Search on Internet to see if you can find a Lightning-to-30-pin adapter. Do not get a 30-pin-to-Lightning adapter; you will waste your money. The latter adapter is more readily available, but is used to connect an iPhone or iPad to and OLDER docking station equipped with a 30-pin connector.

Is there an adapter/cord (30 Pin to Lightning, or 30 Pin to Bluetooth) actually KNOWN to work with the Altec Lansing iMT800, so we can all charge and control the newer Lightning connector style iPhone

I think your only option is to get one sold in Apple stores. I have a small 30-pin-to-Lightning adapter (not a cable) and it does not work with either my iPad mini or my wife's iPhone 5. I also have a non-Apple Lightning charging cable (as a backup, just in case...). Same deal.

Bose repairs

It may be expensive to have someone replace the connector. One option is to squirt some silicone around the base, being careful to still allow contact to be made to the iPod dock connector. You could get a dock extension cable (see link below). It may fit better and will reduce the strain on the Bose connector. If it's still loose, you could glue the extender cable in.

Alternatively, you could use a 3.5 mm audio cable to connect the iPod headphone jack to the Aux-in jack on the back of the Bose. Just living with it may be prudent.

New iphone 5 does not fit on the base

They do make an adapter that you can purchase from the Apple store. This was a common issue when Apple switched from the 30 pin connectors to the new lightning ports which are much smaller.

Yes! You can use your old chargers with the iPhone 5 however you will need to buy the adapter for them so that they will be compatible with the new "lightning" sync connection. You can read about it here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter?fnode=48

Our sound dock does not charge our ipod touch 2nd gen. Bose manual says it does charge. The sound dock is not series 2. Are they not compatible? Thanks, Mark

The original SoundDock will not charge the iPod touch 2nd gen, or the iPhone 3G, or the new nano either. This is because Apple changed the way their new iPod products charge. (via USB only now)
There is 1 solution- Call Bose tech support. They can replace the 30 pin metal connector for a new one that will charge this. If this is not under warranty, it will cost $99, but it's worth it. New 1 year warranty, and compatibility with all iPods (except much older- non-clickwheel iPods)
