Radeon chipset AGP vid card and nForce 3 250 chipset motherboards

Trying to find a 512mb AGP video card to squeeze a little more life from my nForce 3 250 chipset board/AMD Athlon 64 3400. Tried a Powercolor Radeon HD3850 but could never get it to install correctly (used drivers from CD that came with it, dowloads from ATI including hotfix drivers, and custom Omega drivers). None let me get back into XP Pro sp3 destop. Safe mode and System restore got me back up with my old nVidia 6600GT AGP card.
Anyone know of a 512mb AGP video card that will work with nForce 3 250 chipset motherboards? Mine is a Biostar K8NHA Grand.

Vista cannot connect to xp printer

It sounds like your are using your Windows XP computer as the print server, and you are trying to connect your Windows Vista machine to the Windows XP print server. Your Vista machine is trying to download the XP drivers from the Windows XP computer to your Vista machine. This won't work. Windows XP and Vista print drivers are not compatible.

If the printer is truely networked (it has it's own IP address on the network, it has its own ethernet connection). Then instead of trying to map out to this shared printer, add new printer to the Vista machine using Vista drivers for the HP Deskjet 3940. The type of port you would need is a standard TCP/IP port. To get this address, print a settings page from the printer. Look for either a TCP/IP address or IP address on this print out. This is the port address you want to create and then connect to.

I am trying to install a Lexmark, 3in1 p6210

Before plugging in the USB cable you need to install printer software.

If you have the original printer disk install software from disk.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file, double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Can't connect my Linksys WRT54GS router to zonet zps1000

The gateway would be the address that your router uses.

You would plug the print server into the back of the computer using the ethernet line.

Cannot scan a photo to my computer

Hi jcathcart,

For OfficeJet and PhotoSmart, please try this link:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&docname=c00503569&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

This link might be helpful, too, FAQs for All-in-Ones:

I just went to www.hp.com and typed in "no scan options" in their search field at the top of the screen. You can find even more help though if you drill down through your specific product.

Please let me know if this helps a little...

Emulex NetJet Print Server Problem

The standard port settings used when setting up a Printer Port is Port 9100 (TCP) when normally communicating with the Jet direct / LaserJet 4 plus printer.

However when using the Emulex Card it s default is Port 2501 (UDP). So within XP change the Port setting to 2501 and it then will communicate correctly.

How do I reset access password?

Thanks. I actually found out that it had never been configured - here is the standard factory access info: All Oki network printing devices support configuration changes via a standard web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. When applying a configuration change to a device the user is prompted for a user name and password. The following details should be entered: User Name: root Password: last six digits of the MAC address* *You can find the MAC address on the network summary web page or by printing off a menu from the printer.
