Question about Acer PC Laptops
Starts but does not boot, fan and HD light comes on then shuts off after a few seconds. I checked the HD in another pc and it is ok. I replaced the memory with new and no change. I removed all of the items, HD, optical, battery and tried that and all still the same. Something on the board probably. What do repair shops do when you send it to them that claim they can repair the mobo for $100 or so?
Most computers and Laptops have whats called a Beep code that makes a noise when there is a problem You need to get the beep codes for an Acer laptop once that is done the next option is Computer techs use a PC Analyzer card these fit in a PC slots in the computer and same card has one side to fit Laptops and the other side for Desktops These light up different LEDs on the card and also give a letter and number code that with tell what part of the computer is not working The you look up the code in the book that comes with the Card A Genuine card is sometimes over $200 but a non genine one could be purchase off ebay and from Hong Hong for under $20
