Question about Keurig Elite B40 Coffee Maker

We have a keruig model 4o and the temp dose not seem to be hot enough please tell me what i can do to correct it thanks, John White La,Grange.N.c.

The coffee temp is appro. 140 degree and does not get any hotter no matter how long we keep it on. we have to heat the water more in the micowave oven.

KEURIG will first tell you that the temperature is pre-set. then they ask if you are using room temperature water. Also you have to make sure you PUSH the K-Cup into the holder to make sure it works probably. If it is under a year old they will replace it free of charge.

Your heating unit may be going bad. You could contact Keurig and see what they will do for you. I found them to be very helpful when I had a problem with mine. The replaced the entire unit for me and had me discard my old one.

Sorry to read about your issue.

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

You do have a 1 year warranty, and if you are out of warranty. They will give a discount on a new unit.

Go under the hood and feel the heater hoses after the engine gets up to temp, if they seem really hot then you may have a problem with the HVAC air temperature control blend door.

Admiral atw4675yq doesn't dispense warm water

So I was lucky enough to buy the extended warranty with your same unit and when I noticed the same issue, I called the technician.
What he tells me is that this time of year, city water is too warm to require the addition of hot (71 degrees as read at the flow). Apparently to meet the Energy Star requirement, the temperatures were lowered from what they used to be.
He suggested that I wait until Dec/Jan until my cold water temp gets into the 60s and then listen for the hot to kick in intermittently.
From what I have read on the web from other customers of various other makes and models, this problem does not seem to be restricted to Admiral.

Since you're talking about the white box it sounds like you're familiar enough to proceed a bit further. Remove the three screws (8mm head) and lift the blend boor actuator off (white box). Manually move the blend door and see if your temp changes. These blend doors have plastic gears inside that strip and don't allow full movement. If you have a change in temperature then replace the actuator.

Whirlpool washing machine...only uses hot water


Make sure the hoses are connected correctly to the water valve on the machine. The connections will be marked with an "H" and a "C".

Given they are correct, most current washing machines have and auto temp feature on the water fill. It allows even cold water settings to bring in some hot water to make sure the water temp is hot enough to efficiently disolve your laundry detergant. The preset temps are usually around 75* for cold, and 105* for warm. Hot water comes in at whatever temp your household water temp is.

heres a rule of thum,the white wire always goes to the middle terminal then the two legs one on each side and ground to the g other green or to the cabinet,if that's not the problem it sounds like your hi temp thermostat is not cycling,if you have a volt meter with clap you can put it on amps and clip to one side of power cord to check,you should get from 3-5 amps and then when it cycles off about 1 amp,if you don't you have to replace the high temp thermostat,let me know,thanks-mike

TEMP WASH IS SELECTED. NORMALLY, THE TIMER WILL
ADVANCE WHEN THE TEMP IS HOT ENOUGH TO TRIP THE
THERMOSTAT. IF IT NEVER GOES PAST THAT POINT, THERE MAY BE A FAILURE IN THE HEATER CIRCUIT.
